the deepening of reform and opening up,my country's economic development has steadily increased, the level of urbanization has continued to increase, and the population has continuously moved to economically developed regions, forming a spatial aggregation effect of urban scale and a spatial differentiation pattern of regional economic development levels.Studying the relationship between city size and economic growth is of great significance for promoting high-quality development. This article studies the spatial distribution characteristics of my country's urban size and its spatial and temporal interaction with economic growth from both theoretical and empirical levels.Using the spatial panel data of 297 prefecture-level and above cities in my country from 2006 to 2017,the static and dynamic spatial Dubin models were used to study the spatial-temporal agglomeration of urban scale and its relationship with economic growth.First, from the existing definition of city size and the index system selected by existing scholars, the factor analysis method is used to measure the index of city size. After comprehensive consideration, the selected city population size is the quantitative index of city size.Representation;by describing the distribution and current status of China's city scale and economic level, qualitatively analyzing whether it has spatial distribution characteristics, providing a basis for subsequent spatial measurement analysis;combing the impact mechanism of city size and economic growth, for the establishment of the model and Index selection provides theoretical support.Secondly, based on the assumptions of spatial dependence and spatial heterogeneity of the city's economic level, the spatial effect is included in the model analysis, and some factors that affect urban economic growth, such as fiscal expenditures and fixed asset investment, are introduced as control variables, through a series of assumptions Testand parameter estimation, and finally the spatial Dubin model of the spatial and temporal double fixed effect of China's urban size and economic growth is estimated. The relationship between China's urban size and economic growth is analyzed, and the correctness of the hypothesis is verified. Finally, based on the static spatial Dubin model, the time lag effect and the space-time lag effect are included in the model, and expanded into a dynamic spatial Dubin model. The estimation results of the long-term spatial effect and short-term spatial effect are obtained. The relationship between economic growth. The results of the empirical research are as follows: the distribution of urban population size has the characteristics of more in number and more in the east, less in density in the east and less in density in the east, and small in size in the east and west. From the perspective of static spatial econometric analysis, there is a significant spatial correlation between the size of the city's urban population and economic level in China, and it has a significant spatial spillover effect;China's urban economic growth is mainly due to the size of the city's population, investment in fixed assets, and government finance The promotion effect of expenditure and trade level, the increase of environmental pollutants and the irrationality of industrial structure have a negative effect on the development of urban economy. From the perspective of dynamic spatial econometric analysis, the local economic level has an obvious inertial effect on the local economy and has an inhibitory effect on the later stage of economic development in neighboring areas. In the analysis of short-term and long-term effects, the urban population size, government financial expenditure, and wage levels Economic growth has a long-term positive effect, and the irrational and non-high-level development of the industrial structure is still a problem for China's cities from a long-term perspective. In the short term, among the variables that have a positive effect on urban economic growth, the urban population The role of scale, investment infixed assets, and wage levels is more prominent.Based on the above, the influx of population in eastern cities should be restricted, urban pressure should be reduced, and the urban environment should be vigorously managed to build green cities;strengthen urban infrastructure construction and public service management in the central and western regions;optimize the industrial structure, rationalize the industrial structure in the central and western regions, and eastern The regional industrial structure is highly advanced;it promotes the high-quality development of China's cities from various perspectives.
