Research On Convergence Of Regional Economic Growth In Anhui Province Based On Spatial Econometric Model

Anhui Province is a large resource-rich province with a superior geographical location.In recent years,Anhui Province's overall economic strength has been greatly improved.However,due to differences in regional resource endowments and unreasonable regional spatial layout,Anhui Province's regional economic growth has appeared to a certain extent.In order to optimize the regional spatial layout and promote the coordinated development of the regional economy,the Anhui Provincial Government redefined its administrative regions in 2011.And as the problem of unbalanced economic growth has become prominent,regional economy has become a hot spot for scholars to study and pay attention to.Scholars analyze and study the regional economy through different methods.Among them,the spatial econometric analysis method supplements the classic econometric analysis method from a single perspective.To explain the insufficiency of regional economic growth convergence problems,spatial factors are included in the classic econometric model,and the spatial agglomeration effect brought about by economic growth is fully considered,so it has become one of the popular research methods.This thesis is based on neoclassical economic growth theory and uses spatial econometric analysis methods to explore the convergence of regional economic growth in Anhui Province since the 2011 administrative division.Firstly,through descriptive analysis,the spatial disparity of regional economic growth in Anhui Province from 2011 to 2017 was studied;secondly,the spatial correlation of regional economic growth in Anhui Province was tested through the global index and local index;finally,the fixed asset investment rate and opening to the outside world were selected The degree and urbanization level as economic indicators that may affect the convergence of economic growth,analyze the convergence of regional economic growth in Anhui Province from 2011 to 2017,and propose policy recommendations to promote regional economic growth in Anhui Province based on the estimation results of the spatial econometric model.The main conclusions of this paper are: 1.There is a clear spatial gap in regional economic growth in Anhui Province,and this spatial gap shows a decreasing trend.2.The regional economic growth of Anhui Province shows a strong spatial positivecorrelation.3.The regional economic growth of Anhui Province not only has absolute convergence but also conditional convergence during 2011-2017;and the conditional convergence further indicates that the fixed asset investment rate,the degree of opening to the outside world,and the level of urbanization have played a role in promoting Anhui's economic growth However,the government's public expenditure rate and degree of industrialization have not played a role.Therefore,all cities in Anhui Province,especially those with relatively backward economies,should continue to adjust and optimize the structure of government public expenditure and industry on the basis of strengthening regional cooperation,strive to expand the degree of opening to the outside world,and continue to accelerate the promotion of new urbanization,so as to quickly achieve The coordinated development of regional economy in Anhui Province.
