Study On Coupling Mechanism Between Rural Transaction Efficiency And Production Efficiency

Rural revitalization,industrial prosperity is the focus,efficiency revolution is fundamental.China's rural production situation is good,but rural products and services can not easily be translated into economic gains due to difficult trading.Therefore,the coupling relationship between rural transaction efficiency and production efficiency deserves attention.This paper studies the coupling mechanism between rural transaction efficiency and production efficiency,which is of great significance to realize rural revitalization,industrial prosperity and optimize rural resource allocation.Based on the theory of coupling coordination and new theory of structural economics,this paper makes an empirical study on the coupling relationship between rural transaction efficiency and production efficiency in 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze economic belt from 1997 to 2017,and summarizes the coupling mechanism of the two.The concrete steps are as follows :(1)Combing the relevant theories,constructing the theoretical analysis framework and putting forward theoretical assumptions;(2)Using entropy weight method to measure rural transaction efficiency,using DEA method and DEA-Malmquist method to measure rural comprehensive production efficiency and total factor productivity and its decomposition,respectively;(3)The coupling coordination degree between rural transaction efficiency and production efficiency is measured,and the interaction relationship between them is analyzed by means of spatial Durbin model;(4)Based on the empirical results and new structural economics theory,the coupling mechanism between rural transaction efficiency and production efficiency is further analyzed from two aspects: functional coupling and structural coupling.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)In recent years,althoughthe rural transaction efficiency of most provinces and cities in the middle and western regions of the Yangtze River Economic Belt has improved,it is still lower than that in the eastern coastal areas;(2)Between 1997 and 2017,the rural production efficiency of the Yangtze River economic belt as a whole has improved,the rural production efficiency of each province and city has not varied greatly,and the improvement of rural total factor productivity mainly depends on the improvement of the rate of technological progress;(3)The rural transaction efficiency and production efficiency of the Yangtze economic belt are mutually reinforcing,but the rural transaction efficiency is the main factor that restricts the coordinated development of rural transaction efficiency and production efficiency in the middle and western regions of the Yangtze economic belt;(4)The function coupling mechanism between rural transaction efficiency and production efficiency: improving rural economic efficiency,realizing rural revitalization and industrial prosperity;Structural coupling mechanism between rural transaction efficiency and production efficiency: rural transaction efficiency and production efficiency are suitable for comparative advantage industries.Finally,this paper puts forward some suggestions from three aspects:continuously improving the efficiency of rural transaction,promoting the upgrading of rural factor endowment structure,and strengthening interregional cooperation.
