The global amount of urban artificial light has been leaping both domestically and internationally in the last half century, following the development of global urbanism.Light pollution caused by the expansion of artificial light has negative effect on the health of citizens and ecosystem.China is an important migration channel and transit station between Asia and Austrilia, and the nation owns abundant bird resources. The study of photoecology is urgent to be carried out.The study takes Common Rosefinch and Chestnut Bunting as samples to study the change of their circadian rhythm under artificial light in laboratory. The study designed the experiment box for laboratory study,a complete set of laboratory light environment parameters based on field study,a complete set of index system and research method, and established the standard photoecological laboratory experiment platform. The study set up 0.002 W/m~2,0.005 W/m~2,0.01 W/m~2 for irradiance;and white,620 nm,580 nm,510 nm,470 nm,420 nm for wavelength,to conduct cross-over experiment. The result shows that, the sleep irradiance for Common Rosefinch and Chestnut Bunting separately is 0.005 W/m~2and 0.00050 W/m~2,the awake irradiance is0.1 W/m~2 and 0.0057 W/m~2.With the increase of irradiance, both species sleept later and had shorted sleeping time with fluctuation of awakening rate, and the Common Rosefinch awoke earlier while the Chestnut Bunting awoke later under 0.01 W/m~2.The Common Rosefinch is more sensitive to 510 nm and 470 nm,as the Chestnut Bunting is more sensitive to 510 nm.The findings and the experiment platform of the study offer support for follow-up studies, and provide scientific theoretical support for urban lighting design, and supplement and improve the basic databases of Photoecology in Asia.
