| Hexi corridor is an important node of China’s ancient silk road connecting the central plains and western regions.In the development process of traditional dwellings in hexi corridor,a series of economic,ecological and effective design methods have been formed through spatial organization,material structure and other measures in combination with climate and lifestyle,so as to cope with the dry,cold and sunny temperate continental climate.Due to the southward shift of China’s economic center of gravity in history,the development of hexi corridor area gradually fell behind.In recent years,with the gradual improvement of the economic level and increasingly frequent external contact,the living standards and living conditions of local rural residents have gradually drawn closer to modernization and urbanization.However,due to blind learning of urban architecture and abandoning traditional construction methods,the new rural dwellings in hexi corridor lost their regional characteristics,resulting in poor construction quality,building materials and space that could not adapt to the local climate.Under such a historical and realistic background,sums up the local traditional residence space combination mode,summarizes its conventional wisdom in dealing with climate,according to the ecological environment characteristics of the Hexi Corridor and the situation of new rural construction in the west and passive design strategies of the rural residential construction is put forward,in order to improve the quality of local residents,for rural dwellings in the hexi corridor and similar climate area construction provides referential ideas.Firstly,collect the climate conditions like the temperature,wind speed with direction,rainfall and sun radiation of Hexi Corridor through the weather data,then analyse the passive design methods it can use in the design of buildings with Climate Consultant,set the connection between the dry weather of the desert with the methods of designing the local architectures.Secondly,survey the local residents in the different zones in Hexi Corridor,classify the traditional residents in Zhuangkuo,courtyard and fortress,with the new built folk houses,totally four types according to the way the spaces connect.Then sum and analyse the characteristics,envelop enclosure and the detail structures of different types,and get the indoor physical environment situation of the types by measure and simulate to figure the problems existing out: the thermal performance of the traditional folk residents are stable,but the performance of using the light is poor,while the new built residents can make better use of nature light,but the indoor thermal performance change frequently with the outdoor weather changes.Afterwards,basic on the former survey,discuss how the layout influent the daylighting and the energy consumption: use a quadrangle as the reference group,and six courtyard with layout change as control group,use the daylighting and energy cost simulation instrument to calculate and compare the daylight factor,heating energy cost of different room and the energy loss and gain between te reference and control group,and get the indoor environment condition of the rooms in different direction,and to make the best use of the outdoor environment the layout of the courtyard should be: enclosure courtyard;the southside is more bright while the norhside is more warm;the westside is fit for living and the eastside is fit for producting;the middle part of the block is main and the surrounding is affiliate;the centre of the room is main and the outside is auxiliary.Finally,combine with the economic and develop case,put forward suggestions to renew the folk residents depending on the ecological continued,functional spaces transformed and the indoor physical environment optimized,with the characteristics mentioned above to design new residents,to give reference for the local construction activities. |
