Objective: The research was designed to investigate the effects of 10 weeks of high intensity interval training(HIIT)or crossover point(COP)intensity exercise training on the cardiovascular risk factors and vascular function in overweight young women.Methods: Overweight young women were randomized to 10 week of HIIT group,COP intensity training group or control group.Their body weight,resting heart rate,blood pressure,maximal oxygen consumption(VO2max),brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity(ba PWV),ankle brachial index(ABI),homocysteine(HCY)and interleukin-6(IL-6)were measured.The subjects in COP group or HIIT group were given COP intensity training or HIIT for 10 weeks,three times a week,respectively.The control group was not given any intervention,and the exercise amount in COP group and HIIT group was consistent.After the intervention,the indicators were measured again and the data were analyzed.Results: After 10 weeks of exercise intervention,SBP,DBP,VO2 max,Rba PWV and average ba PWV in COP group decreased significantly(P<0.01),DBP decreased significantly(P<0.05),VO2 max increased significantly(P<0.01),Rba PWV and average ba PWV decreased significantly(P<0.01).After 10 weeks of exercise intervention,VO2 max and IL-6 of HIIT group increased significantly(P<0.01),there was no significant difference in other vascular function indexes.Conclusion:(1)10 weeks of COP exercise can reduce the blood pressure and arterial stiffness,and improve the vascular function of young overweight women.(2)10 weeks of COP exercise and HIIT can improve the cardiorespiratory endurance of overweight young women.(3)For overweight young women,10 weeks of COP intensity exercise can bring more cardiovascular benefits than HIIT.Therefore,it is recommended for overweight young women to choose COP intensity to do exercise.
