The purpose of this study is to show why a business plan was prepared for Janco Product, Inc.; how the plan was developed utilizing both the literature and the specific analysis of the business and its environment; and the analysis of the initial implementation of the business plan with a deviation comparison. Included are the Business Plan and data on the company. The population was limited to Janco Products, Inc. whose sole product is the Lazz-E-Grill. Deviation analysis revealed that initial projections are incorrect and will be as long as a sales force has not been established. If contract agents are used, the numbers should be revised as several basic assumptions change. Although sales were below projections, with the upward trend from December, Janco will enjoy a unique market niche and flexible economic position.
