The design education infrastructure in Lebanon does not support human centered design, because of the stagnation of its curricula and, more importantly, because of institutional politics.;This project tests the validity of a grassroots initiative that would bring together an independent collective of students, designers, professionals and partner institutions in order to explore the value of human centered design in Lebanon. It creates a framework for building an innovative DIY design education model that plugs into the existing infrastructure of design education. |
