| The purpose of this project report is to provide a written document of the costume design involved in the production of Caryl Churchill's Far Away, which took place at California State University, Long Beach in Fall 2016. The report details the process of textual analysis of the script and characters, design collaboration, and steps toward the realization of the design. As a costume designer, my main role is to develop a visual perspective based on the director's conceptual thoughts, historical and cultural research sources, and the visual and aural design from other areas including scenic, lighting, and sound. |
