This thesis focuses on the development of a tool that can simultaneously analyze traffic from multiple network interfaces. Such a tool will reduce the overall effort required in studying the characteristics of a network and identifying the reason behind its performance. This work is an extension to the Wireshark network analyzer (Combs b) developed by Gerald Combs. With the new extension to Wireshark a single instance of the tool can capture traffic from multiple networks, even if their underlying data link type is different. The trace from such a capture can be useful in comparing the performance of the selected networks and analyze their influence on neighboring networks. |
