Abstract/Summary:
This investigation focused on the factors that incur in job satisfaction levels for farm workers. A representative sample of 103 coffee farm workers in commercial coffee farms in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico was used base on the Frederick Herzberg's Job Satisfiers and Dissatisfiers factors.; The study results showed that the farm workers are moderately satisfied in the employment, but they revealed being a little dissatisfied with salary and a little satisfied with advancement. The farm workers revealed being moderately satisfied with achievement, recognition, responsibility, the work itself, interpersonal relation, policy and administration, supervision and working condition.; A positive moderate correlation was found between general satisfaction and salary. On the other hand, there was a negative moderate correlation found between education and general satisfaction. In addition, there were positive sustancial correlations found between general satisfaction and achievement, recognition, responsibility, the work itself, interpersonal relations, policy and administration, supervision and working conditions.
