Abstract/Summary:
The purpose of this project was to develop a business planning and deployment procedure and its supporting documents for use by a small business to fulfill the requirements of the ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management System standard in a practical manner that is beneficial to the business. The primary information studied was the ISO 9001-2000 International Standard and business planning guidance available from the Small Business Administration. Secondary sources of information were used to gain an understanding of the intent of the requirements stated in the international standard, of the business planning and guidance recommendations, and of practices that are used to fulfill the requirements and recommendations.;The procedure and its supporting documents that resulted from the project employ the process approach and the plan-do-check-act cycle promoted by the ISO 9001-2000 standard while focusing on the business. The project output documents are included in the appendices.
