Abstract/Summary:
The purpose of this project was to develop a program by reducing the anxiety levels and improving the quality of life of hospice patients of Visiting Nurse Association of Inland Counties. This project would identify the potential funding and write a grant that would allow hospice patients of Visiting Nurse Association of Inland Counties to receive music therapy. Music therapy implemented by a music therapist can play an effective role among hospice patients, families, and caregivers. The project would allow an opportunity for the hospice patients to maintain their quality of life during the last stage of their life. A potential funding resource was found through the internet search and S. Mark Taper Foundation was identified. The actual submission and funding of this grant were not requirements for the successful completion of this project.
