| In the era when the goal of building a moderately prosperous society is realized,travelling has been the main appeal of people as their living standards keep increasing.Most people hope to have a deep and authentic travelling experience to realize the resonance and communication in feelings.In the era of mass tourism,Homestay,a new form in lodging industry,truly meets the needs of tourists to return to country and nature with slow life,homey service and deep experience,becoming a highlight and hotspot in tourism.However,a series of issues are also exposed during the high speed development of Homestay.For example,most runners of Homestay are local residents who has low education level and lacks training experience of professional management of Homestay,and the structure of Homestay is single,and homogenization is caused because of herd behavior,and a scientific planning and guidance over Homestay are lacked,and supporting facilities are not sound,and development is too extensive,and so on.Those issues have seriously restrained the sustainable development of Homestay.Place attachment,a positive emotional bond between person and place,has a significant role in tourists’ perception,appraisal,degree of satisfaction,post-travel behavior.Tourists’ behavior to select is an intention to revisit and recommend out of their own understandings of tourist areas and experience,which is the drive force for travelling.In addition,it is extremely important to the long,effective and sustainable development of Homestay.From what talked above,the paper is going to study the interaction mechanism and mutual influence between tourists’ place attachment and selection behavior.Based on a systematic literature review and theoretical analysis,field visit is adopted in the paper.Tourists’ place attachment is divided into place dependence and place identity,and the tourists’ selection intention is divided into recommendation and revisit.In addition,a hypothesis about the theory as well as a conceptual model of tourists’ place attachment and selection behavior has been made,and then a path analysis has been conducted to verify the hypothesis.In accordance with the results,it can be concluded that place attachment has a positive influence on tourists’ selection.In addition,place dependence has a positive influence on place identity,and place dependence has a positive and significant influence on revisit,and place identity has a positive and significant influence on recommendation,and recommendation has a positive and significant influence on tourists’ selection,and place dependence has a positive but subtle influence on recommendation,and place identity has a positive but subtle influence on tourists’ selection.Combing the analysis of the relationship between tourists’ place attachment and selection behavior,some advice about how to develop Homestay in the future have been put forward,including to pay attention to the service of facilities in Homestay,to integrate local sense to build elaborate Homestay,to promote the marketing of Homestay,and to improve products of Homestay to prolong tourists’ length of stay.At the end of the paper,some insufficiencies in the study and author’s future research interests are listed out. |
