Current Situation,Problems And Countermeasures Of Vegetable Industry Development In Baihe County,Shaanxi Province

Vegetables are an indispensable part of people’s daily meals.As a traditional agricultural country,China’s vegetable industry has distinct advantages.Shaanxi is located in the geographical center of China,whose vegetable industry has a significant position and great advantages.In this paper,taking the alpine vegetables in Baihe County of Shaanxi Province as the subject,based on the relevant theoretical research,combined with questionnaire,field investigation and access to historical data,the status quo and existing matters of alpine vegetable industry are comprehensively and systematically analyzed and studied,so as to solve the bottleneck and shortfalls of vegetable industrialization development in the upper mountain area,put forward suggestions for the sustainable development of industry.The study of this paper is of great significance to the rural development of Baihe County,the increase of farmers’ income,the efficiency of agriculture and the overcoming of poverty.Baihe County is located in the south of Shaanxi Province.The landform accounts for 99% of the mountain area,where the planting mode is mainly open-air planting with strong seasonality restricted by natural and socio-economic conditions.Vegetable varieties are diverse,in 2019,the county planted more than 60 varieties of 11 categories.the vegetable planting area of the county reached 4729.66 hm~2,and the total output reached 106349 t.Seizing the opportunity of the establishment of national agricultural product quality and safety County,we have initially formed a quality inspection system for alpine vegetables,cultivated a number of high-quality Alpine vegetable production bases and leading enterprises,and greatly enhanced the market supply capacity.The excellent ecological conditions and traditional planting methods make the local vegetables be superior in quality,but there are still diverse issues in the development process.(1)The level of organization and industrialization of Alpine vegetable production is not high;(2)New varieties have a low coverage rate.It is slow to promote advanced technology,and difficult to popularize and copy high-yield model;(3)There are underlying dangers in the quality of vegetables.The problem of pest control is outstanding;(4)The logistics cost is high.The modern logistics chain has not yet formed.In addition,the capacity of processing,transportation and storage is unsubstantial;(5)Infrastructure construction remain feeble and emergency management competence is inadequate;(6)It is essential to step up brand building further.In view of the issues existing in the development of the alpine vegetables industry in Baihe County of Shaanxi Province,the countermeasures are proposed:(1)Planning the industrial layout again according to the advantages of regional resources;(2)Cultivate and upgrade leading enterprises,actively explore the mode of industrialized operation;(3)Taking the planning as the platform and the project as the carrier,we’d better integrate the project funds,concentrate the investment and reinforce the supporting construction of infrastructure;(4)Establish and improve technology promotion network,enhance the core competitiveness of vegetable products;(5)Strengthen the quality and safety supervision of agricultural products for the sake of Promoting the standardization process of vegetable production;(6)Highlight the concept of selenium enrichment,implement brand strategy,build modern marketing system.
