A Study On Tourism Industry Policy In Bangladesh

Based on the study of the development and evolution of Bangladesh's tourism industry policy,this paper divides the evolution of tourism industry policy into two stages: initial development and continuous improvement.This paper selects 30 national tourism industry related policies formulated and implemented in Bangladesh from 1972 to 2018 as samples,studies quantitatively Bangladesh tourism industry policies from three aspects of policy strength,policy measures and policy objectives,summarizes and describes its evolution characteristics,defines and analyzes the existing problems,and finally puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.As a whole,Bangladesh's tourism industry policy strength fluctuates greatly with time,and the overall effect of policy implementation shows a positive development trend.In the past 48 years,tourism market regulation has been an important goal of Bangladesh's tourism industry policy.Before 2000,the macro layout of tourism industry and the basic regulation of different industries within the tourism industry were the most important policy measures;after 2000,legal supervision became the main measure of tourism industry policy.In order to improve the policy objectives of supporting the development of tourism industry,we must take innovative financial measures to support the development of tourism industry,and pay attention to the formulation of industry standards,personnel training and public service measures.In addition,Bangladesh's tourism industry policy is still insufficient in terms of increasing the supply of new products,enhancing tourism security and protecting environmental resources.This study also attempts to understand this background and put forward countermeasures and suggestions for formulating an effective tourism industry policy.
