After 40 years of the reform and opening up policy,China 's service industry has gradually developed into the largest industry in the domestic economy.As an important component of the service industry,the catering industry has ballooned from a scale of 5.48-billion-yuan industry to a social livelihood industry with ? 4.27 trillion industrial income and more than 20 million employees;and a national cultural undertaking with 5,000 year heritage.It plays an important role in expanding domestic demand,stimulating market consumption,promoting interaction between related industries,and inheriting and carrying forward the Chinese culinary culture.The rapid development of the catering industry has been attracting an increasing number of companies;however,the problems of high employee turnover and passive workers loomed,whereas organizational commitment has a high level of predictability of employee's turnover intention and work attitude.Therefore,what kind of human resource management system can be established to improve the organizational commitment of catering employees has become a concern of corporate managers.In the human resource management system,many industries have confirmed that the effective implementation of organizational career management can affect the employee's organizational commitment,but seldom research on catering staff.Due to the rising level of education of catering employees,the needs of their personal growth and development increase;and having the opportunity to receive a long-term development in an enterprise becomes an important factor that affects organizational commitment.Thus,the thesis investigates the impact of organizational career management on the organizational commitment of catering employees.This paper first reviews relevant literature on organizational career management,organizational commitment,and perceived organizational support.By introducing perceived organizational support as a mediator,this paper proposes an impact model of organizational career management on the organizational commitment of employees in the catering industry and the research hypothesis.The empirical research of this paper samples the employees of Haidilao company,conducting a survey on their organizational career management,perceived organizational support and organizational commitment;analyzing the data and then verifying the research hypothesis.This paper mainly applies correlation analysis and regression analysis to verify the correlation among organizational career management,perceived organizational support,and organizational commitment and the interrelationship between each factor;partial correlation analysis is also used to verify whether perceived organizational support plays an intermediary role on the impact of organizational career management on organizational commitment.In the end, according to the conclusion,this paper provides managerial implications for the implementation of organizational career management in enterprises.The main findings of this study include: Haidilao Shenzhen implements organizational career management.The vacancy information in the company can be distributed among employees,and the training of employees is paid much attention.However,the company's overall fair promotion dimension receives a low score,indicating that its imperfect promotion system,lacking standardization and fairness.The levels of employees' perceived organizational support and organizational commitment are both at a medium level.Haidilao employees have a low level of affective commitment to the company,while a high continuance commitment.It is recommended that an enterprise should determine the promotion or transferal of employees based on their capabilities and performance.It should also standardize the promotion mechanism to affect the normative commitment of employees,establish multi-directional channels to provide them with career information,including clear qualifications and career promotion routes.has a significant positive impact on employee's perceived organizational support and organizational commitment;perceived organizational support has a significant positive impact on affective commitment,but weak positive correlations with normative commitment and continuance commitment respectively;the impact of organizational career management on perceived organizational commitment and affective commitment is realized amid the intermediate role of perceived organizational support,while organizational career management directly affects employee's normative commitment and continuance commitment.
