At present,Chinese industrial structure starts to move towards the direction of high-end and modernization,and emerging industries,represented by high-tech industries,are developing vigorously,gradually becoming a new driving force for sustainable economic development.In April 2018,general secretary xi jinping in further promoting the development of the Yangtze river economic belt on the symposium speech stressing the need to "promote the development of the Yangtze river economic belt with high quality to completely abandon the dominated by investment and inputs,create conditions,to set aside space for the new kinetic energy development,and is committed to develop advanced productivity,increase effective supply,to speed up to form a new industrial cluster." As a new regional growth pole in China,the Yangtze river economic belt plays an important role in strategic support and demonstration,and has become an important regional positioning for the development of high-tech industry.Around the high technology industry relying on high-tech development zone has formed a certain scale of agglomeration,compared with the traditional industry,high-tech industry agglomeration obvious technology diffusion effect and synergistic effect,can produce obvious economies of scale,effectively promote the regional economic growth,but the excessive industrial concentration and may lead to a series of "congestion" effect.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to analyze the status quo of high-tech industry agglomeration in the Yangtze river economic belt in recent years and investigate its economic growth effect,so as to promote the development of high-tech industry in the Yangtze river economic belt and maintain the good development trend of regional economy.Based on the related theory and on the basis of predecessors’ research results,analysis of the economic growth effect of high-tech industrial agglomeration mechanism,and described the Yangtze river economic belt development situation of high technology industry from 2000 to 2017 and use of location entropy,space gini coefficient and EG index measuring high technology industry agglomeration level of the Yangtze river economic zone,and the heterogeneity of measure points area and industry agglomeration..Then based on cobb-douglas production function to join professional agglomeration,diversified agglomeration and competitive advantage index of three kinds of industrial concentration index,build the panel regression model for the Yangtze river economic belt high technology industry as a whole level and regional level for the empirical analysis,on the basis of building threshold panel regression model,to examine the economic growth effect of high-tech industrial agglomeration of nonlinear relationship.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn:Firstly,the high-tech industry of the Yangtze river economic belt enjoys a good development momentum in all aspects,and is in an advantageous position in the comparison at the national regional level.However,there are significant regional differences and obvious advantages in the downstream regions.However,with the gradual expansion of the concentration scale of innovation factors in the upper and middle reaches,the regional gap is gradually narrowing.The five major sectors of the high-tech industry are electronic and communication equipment manufacturing,computer and office equipment manufacturing and pharmaceutical manufacturing.Secondly,the cluster level of high-tech industries in the Yangtze river economic belt is high on the whole,and it presents a trapezoidal pattern with the downstream,upstream and middle reaches decreasing successively.Among the sub-industries,the aviation,spacecraft and equipment manufacturing industry and the computer and office equipment manufacturing industry have obvious agglomeration advantages,and the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry has the lowest degree of agglomeration.Thirdly,on the whole level of the Yangtze river economic belt,the three clusters of high-tech industrial specialization,diversification and competitive advantage all show significant positive economic growth effect,and the role of diversification agglomeration is slightly larger.At the regional level,the economic effect of specialization cluster in the upstream area is more significant.The specialization agglomeration and competition index in the middle reaches are helpful to promote the economic growth,but the specialization agglomeration coefficient is not significant.The level of diversification shows a significant inhibitory effect on economic growth.The effects of specialization agglomeration,diversification agglomeration and competition index on economic growth in the downstream regions all show significant positive effects,among which the effect of specialization agglomeration is the largest.Human capital,material capital investment and the role of the government promote economic growth to a certain extent,and the research on innovation environment has a prominent effect,while the degree of economic openness has a inhibitory effect on economic growth.Fourthly,there is indeed a non-linear relationship between the specialized agglomeration of high-tech industries and economic growth in the Yangtze river economic belt.When the threshold is crossed,the specialized agglomeration will inhibit regional economic growth.However,the economic growth effect of diversification agglomeration and competitive advantage index is significantly positive,and there is no threshold effect.
