An Analysis Of The Geo-strategic Environment Of China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor

In the context of the era of peace and development,China proposed the Belt and Road Initiative in 2013 in accordance with the principle of extensive consultation,joint contribution and shared benefits).Later,with the gradual improvement of the initiative’s vision,the Belt and Road Initiative gradually established multiple economic corridors,of which China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor has become an important development direction because of its special geographical location.At present,the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor proposed by China has been promoted in an orderly manner with the cooperation of the three countries.The unique advantages of its internal environment and the rare development opportunities provided by the external environment have made it a certain progress,but the complex environment of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor is still affects its development level all the time.The constraints of the internal environment and the impact of external challenges have made the development of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor not smooth.Therefore,the analysis of the geo-strategic environment of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor has important practical significance for its final development results.An independent analysis of one environmental element of a China-MongoliaRussia Economic Corridor is not enough to comprehensively consider the current state of the environment.Therefore,with the help of management-related theories,this article uses the PEST-SWOT analysis model as a framework to integrate the complex internal and external geo-strategic environmental conditions of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor.At the political level,it selects relevant planning docking,the theme of the era of peace and development,and other influential conditions.At the economic level,factors such as trade structure complementarity are selected.At the social level,objective current conditions such as close-knit people interaction and the Chinese threat theory are selected.At the scientific and technological level,conditions such as China’s new infrastructure and 5G technology development are selected,then distinguish the positive impact or negative influence of all factors on the economic development of China,Mongolia,and Russia.Finally,the relevant strategy matrix is formed according to the selected internal advantages,disadvantages,external opportunities,challenges and other related factors.It provides four different focus strategy options(SO strategy,ST strategy,WO strategy,and WT strategy)to makes positioning and selectable directions clearer and tries to promote the subsequent development of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor.
