Nowadays,with the continuous acceleration of market competition and technological change,innovation has become an important factor for the development of enterprises.As a result,creativity has gradually become the key to continuous innovation and competitive advantage.Thus,more and more managers and scholars pay attention to the importance of employee creativity.However,most researchers focus more on positive factors that motivate employees' creativity,while ignoring the negative factors that can undermine it.This study applied organizational behavior theories to explore the negative impact of job insecurity on employee creativity.Then consider the effect of variables such as organizational trust,creative process engagement,intrinsic motivation,and Big Five personality.In order to construct a relatively complete theoretical model of job insecurity and employee creativity to provide guidance for management practices.By analyzing 232 leadership employee pairing data collected from Zhejiang technology enterprises,this study found that with the increase of job insecurity,employees' organizational trust will reduce.The reduction of trust will then affect creative process engagement and intrinsic motivation,which will eventually undermine employees' creativity.Intrinsic motivation of employees will also positively affect their creative process investment.Extroversion,agreeableness and openness personalities have negative moderating effects on the relationship between employee's job insecurity and organizational trust;while neurotic personality has a positive moderating effect on this function.The research shows the mechanism of job insecurity on employee creativity and explore the impact of Big Five personality.Enriching the work of insecurity and employee creativity.It can also provide theoretical basis and guidance for the future use of management practices in enterprises.
