Research On The Influence Of Industrial Agglomeration On The Markup Of Export Enterprises

"Made in China" has always been difficult to get rid of the international image "low quality,low price,low profit",and is in a disadvantaged position in the global value chain system and division of labor.With the acceleration of technology update and the intensification of global market competition,the low-cost advantage has been detrimental to the sustainable development of export enterprises.The most basic means for export enterprises to increase their price-adding ability is to continuously innovate.Industrial agglomeration is a most valid avenue for export firms of china to strengthen international competitiveness.Industrial agglomeration is closely related to technological innovation.Industrial agglomeration is an important condition and driving factor for technological innovation.Industrial agglomeration can promote cooperation and interaction between enterprises,so that knowledge spillovers are transmitted in the agglomeration area.Industrial agglomeration has become a common environment for enterprise survival,development and innovation.Under the external development environment of this industrial agglomeration,will the technological innovation of enterprises affect the relationship between industrial agglomeration and the markup of export enterprises?This paper mainly examines the relationship between industrial agglomeration and the markup of export enterprises based on the perspective of technological innovation.On the basis of theoretical analysis,the empirical research is carried out by using the Chinese industrial enterprise database and the customs database matching data.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Specialized agglomeration reduce the markup of export enterprises;(2)Diversified agglomeration to increase the markup of export enterprises;(3)After adding technological innovation adjustment variables,technological innovation will not only reduce the negative effect of specialized agglomeration on the markup of export enterprises,but also technological innovation will enhance the positive effect of diversified agglomeration on export enterprises.Towards the role,technological innovation has a positive adjustment effect on the impact of different types of industrial agglomeration and export enterprise markup.In addition,by distinguishing between enterprise ownership,factor density and trade mode,this paper further finds that in the enterprise ownership classification,for state-owned export enterprises,technological innovation is more favorable to markup in the professional agglomeration environment;for private export enterprises In other words,technological innovation is more conducive to markup in a diverse agglomeration environment.In the classification of factor density heterogeneity,technology-intensive export enterprises carry out technological innovation in a professional environment,which is more conducive to enterprise price addition.Labor-intensive export enterprises carry out technological innovation in a diversified agglomeration environment and are more conducive to corporate prices.addition.In the classification of trade heterogeneity,the technical innovation of general trade enterprises is more conducive to the price increase of enterprises in the professional environment,and the technological innovation of processing trade is more conducive to the markup of export enterprises in the diversified environment.Finally,recommendations have been made at the government level and at the enterprise level to help Chinese export companies achieve higher market competitiveness as much as possible,thereby increasing the markup of export enterprises and helping export enterprises get a good position in the global value chain.
