Under the background of the constant development of the knowledge economy,regional innovation is an important force to promote regional economic development,and it is also a booster for the high-quality development of regional economy.However,in recent years,with the deepening of China's implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy,relevant issues have also emerged: on the one hand,China's multi-level and distinctive regional innovation patterns are gradually forming,but regional innovation differences are too significant;China's comprehensive scientific and technological innovation level is growing day by day,and the number of innovative indicators such as papers and patents ranks second in the world,but the overall quality of innovation is not high.Based on the statistical data of China's scientific and technological innovation from 2007 to 2016,this paper refers to the research report of China Regional Science and Technology Innovation Evaluation Report and National Innovation Index Report,and combines the specific content of regional innovation quality with the actual situation of each province.A set of index system including innovation subject,innovation input,innovation output and innovation benefit,using AHP-entropy method combined weighting method to calculate the regional innovation quality comprehensive index,and on this basis,we analyzed nearly 10 in China.The spatial and temporal pattern of regional innovation quality,the spatial and spatial correlation and the spatial heterogeneity of its formation factors.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)In 2007-2016,China's regional innovation quality comprehensive index is generally not high,showing a general trend of “stable rise” to “rapid rise”;regional innovation quality is significantly different internally,and the eastern region is significantly better than the central and western regions.The northeast region,and the advantages are expanding year by year.The absolute difference in innovation quality between regions is basically solidified,and the difference in innovation quality between regions is balanced in fluctuations.There is only a slight difference between the end of the study and the initial stage of research;the quality of innovation in each subsystem region is steadily increasing,innovation investment and innovation The quality of the subject tends to accumulate.(2)In the past ten years,the spatial pattern of regional innovation quality in China has been dominated by the polarization cluster of innovative quality “highlands”,forming a “T” structure of “coastal-terrestrial” dominated by coastal provinces and cities,and "Space lock".However,the provincial and municipal clusters with Beijing,Guangzhou and other innovation quality “highlands” show the characteristics of non-equilibrium segmentation,and the spatial spillover is not significant;while the provinces and cities with Jiangsu Province as the core have gradually formed a continuous distribution of planar layer structures.The circle is a high-quality regional innovation province and city.The whole circle forms the prototype of innovation clusters between provinces,and the strongest regional innovation quality cluster zone has emerged nationwide.(3)There is a significant spatial positive correlation in the quality of regional innovation.The autocorrelation shows a trend of decreasing first and then increasing.The difference in regional innovation quality shows a trend from high concentration to progressive dispersion and then gradual concentration.It has gradually formed two highly concentrated areas in the eastern coastal areas and western areas.(4)There are four convergence clubs with low quality,medium and low quality,medium quality and high quality,and there is significant spatial correlation.The low quality and high quality club convergence stability strengthens the lock,low and medium.Quality and medium-quality convergence tend to be a partial change in the club.The high-quality convergence clubs are mainly distributed in the coastal provinces and cities of Beijing,Jiangsu,Shandong,Guangdong,Shanghai,etc.;the middle and low-quality convergence clubs and medium-quality clubs are mainly distributed in central provinces and cities such as Hubei and Anhui;the low-quality convergence clubs are mainly distributed in In the western provinces and cities such as Tibet,Xinjiang,Gansu and Qinghai,the innovation and development of low-quality regions is likely to fall into the “innovation quality poverty trap”.(5)The regional innovation quality type has been more stable in the period of 2007-2010 and 2010-2016,and has increased in the later period,and concentrated in the northern and southwestern provinces and cities.The innovation environment of the neighborhood has a certain impact on the evolution of regional innovation quality differences,but there is asymmetry in this effect.If low-quality provinces and cities are adjacent to high-quality provinces and cities,the probability of improving the quality of innovation is significantly higher than that of low-quality provinces and cities,and the result is not obvious.In addition,geographical proximity is evident in low-quality,medium-and low-quality,and medium-to high-quality and high-quality performance is particularly significant.(6)There are also differences in the formation factors of regional innovation quality spatial differences.The same variable factors have different effects on regional innovation quality in different provinces,and the formation factors of regional innovation quality differences in different years are also different.The main factors for the formation of regional innovation quality differences in 2007,2010 and 2016 are: the number of key universities and R&D institutions,the proportion of high-tech enterprises' output value to GDP,and the number of invention patents to the total number of patents;2007-2016,key universities As well as the impact of research institutes on regional innovation quality differences,the spatial differences have disappeared year by year.
