In manufacturing industry,Chinese enterprises still have a gap with the advanced global companies in the management of small and medium sized project.Under the background that the manufacturing industry becomes more and more mature,small and medium-size projects in manufacturing companies have relatively strong competitiveness with the flexibility and the smoothness in the management of human source.In the field of traditional manufacturing industry,however,there is lacking of enough experience in management of small and medium-sized projects.Therefore,how to control the project schedule and the project cost becomes a problem that urgently needs a solution in each manufacturing enterprise.Based on the theoretical methods of schedule and cost management,this thesis systematically analyzes the schedule control and cost management of the flange project in SSCL.Using the Gantt chart and the principle of schedule planning,an overall plan was constructed for the project team.Following the theory and method of project cost management and taking into account the practical status of this project,the classified project cost was used in this work and the detailed project budget planning and cost control scheme were proposed.During the implement of this project,the project schedule and the overall objectives of cost control were further improved on the basis of active communication with the project team.In comparison to the original planning of the company,the final implementation of this project optimized the project schedule management and cost control.In addition,this work provides relevant suggestions and solutions for some problems,such as,how to scientifically estimate the workload of a project,how to reduce the influences of official holiday on the project schedule,and how to coordinate the work of a project that involves different departments and different levels.
