Risk Management Study On NFV Test Project Of T Company

Network Function Virtualization is a new information and communication technology industry developed in recent years.NFV could meet the needs of virtual Network Element realization with separated software and hardware,by install related function software on general x86 hardware platform.Simultaneously,NFV provides low cost solution to fulfill higher flexibility of scale-in and scale-out,higher speed of network deployment.NFV test service project involving a wide range.Firstly,for infrastructure,including x86 servers,switches,storage servers and network equipment,etc.Secondly,such as network element software system,basic virtual system platform and cloud computing software product.Thirdly,test center lab,cabinets and electrical system.Fourthly,operation and maintenance of NFV test environment.NFV test service project is a large and complex project.Project risk management includes risk identification,analysis,assessment,response and control.This paper aims completing the NFV test service,studies risk analysis and risk management solutions about the NFV test service project planning,implementation,execution and maintenance among the whole lifecycle of NFV test service project.Start from using the brain storming together with previous project experience to get the risk list,after simple analysis,identify almost all risk into 2 categories,technical risk and project management related risk.Then,using subjective analysis method and Delphi method to analyze risk characteristics,risk classification.In the end,considering T company's requirement,set up a risk response plan by using risk mitigation,risk transfer,risk avoidance and risk acceptance,based on result of risk classification and risk assessment.And by strengthen supervision of the process risk and milestone node risk,the risks can be reduced in the project.
