Abstract/Summary:
The Internet of Things(IOT)is one of the hotest industries in recent years.As one of the domestic telecom operators,the parent company of Company D takes the IOT business as its strategic basic business.As the parent company of D company,which undertakes the Internet of Things business in an all-round way,its core product is mainly to sell Internet of Things cards to provide Internet of Things communication services for customers.Since 2018,the number of Internet of Things connections(customers)of D Company has been growing rapidly.Its market share has reached the second in China,but it still lags far behind the first one.At present,the external environment of the market is better,and the development potential of the Internet of Things business is huge and the market space is quite promising.How to seize the external opportunities,make full use of the resources and capabilities of D company to expand its scale and enhance its market share,so as to enhance D company to seize the first opportunity in the fierce market competition in the future and improve its market share in the industry? This is the most urgent task at present.In this paper,D company is taken as the research object.By using the relevant theories of strategic management,PEST analysis,Porter’s Five Forces Model,SWOT combination analysis,QSPM matrix modeling analysis and other tools and methods,the external situation of D company,such as macro environment,industry environment,competitive environment,and business development status,internal situation are analyzed.The comprehensive analysis of internal environment,such as resources and capabilities owned by the Ministry,provides scientific basis for the strategic formulation,strategic choice and strategic decision-making of D Company.Through the above comprehensive analysis and Research on the internal and external environment of D company,the active and aggressive SO strategy is chosen to expand the Internet of Things business for D company,which actively grasps external opportunities and makes full use of internal advantages.At the same time,the strategy is detailed into four aspects: restructuring the organizational structure,R&D oriented to the industrial chain,building an ecological closed-loop system,and strengthening the horizontal and vertical expansion.In addition,combined with 4P marketing theory,it puts forward five specific strategies for D company’s business development,product development,market segmentation,marketing channels,market promotion and service promotion.Finally,the basic measures to ensure the implementation of D company strategy are put forward to ensure that the basic conditions for the implementation of strategy are met.It is hoped that this study can provide reference and practical value for the development of the Internet of Things business of D Company.
