The Influence Of Producer Service FDI On Manufacturing Productivity In Shandong Province

With the transformation of global economic structure,the proportion of service industry in the global economy is rising,and the trend of serviceization is becoming more and more obvious in the new period when China makes new and higher requirements for the rational adjustment of economic structure.Under the domestic and foreign situation that the service industry dominates the economic development,Shandong Province actively adjusts the economic structure,and insists on the intensive development of producer services as one of the key points of economic growth.As a result,producer services have become the economic growth point of the province,and the relationship between producer services FDI and manufacturing productivity has become a hot topic in academic circles.From the perspective of producer service industry as a whole and its internal subdivision industry,this paper explores the effect and mechanism of producer service industry FDI on manufacturing productivity in Shandong Province,and analyzes the heterogeneity based on manufacturing subdivision industry.Based on the balance panel data of manufacturing industry in Shandong Province from 2004 to 2017,this paper describes the influence path of producer services FDI on manufacturing productivity.The results show that:1)on the whole,FDI of producer services in Shandong Province has a positive effect on TFP of manufacturing industry,but the effect of internal segmentation of producer services on TFP of manufacturing industry is different.Among them,FDI of transportation,storage and post industry has the most obvious effect on TFP of manufacturing industry,while FDI of information service,R&D and design has the most obvious effect In terms of industry heterogeneity,FDI in producer services plays the most important role in promoting TFP of technology intensive manufacturing,while the impact on labor-intensive manufacturing is relatively weak;3)in terms of impact mechanism,FDI in producer services has the most obvious channel effect on TFP of manufacturing through capital replenishment effect.
