As the knowledge economy keeps developing,technological innovation has become an core driving force for social advancement.At home,the strategy of China as a technological power has been put forward since the 18 th CPC National Congress.Collaborative innovation as a new form has emerged worldwide,in order to boost the productivity of science and technology and increase innovation outputs.Collaborative innovation can effectively promote the intra-regional cooperation in terms of innovation among governments,enterprises,universities,research institutions and other entities.Within a region,the Collaborative innovation integrates the innovation resources,accelerates innovation performance outputs.Such efforts contribute to new spurs on the high-speed growth in the intra-regional economy and the capacity of technological innovation.However,the existing mode of collaborative innovation results in the inefficiency of collaborative innovation due to the difference of innovation capacity and of the interest pursuits among those entities.Nevertheless,a new triple-helix mode-the combination of production,study and research-has emerged as the governments,industries and universities deepen their cooperation.Such new triple-helix mode integrates all the advantages that these three entities boast in terms of factors of production.Therefore,this model becomes the one that is characterized by the interplay among the three entities and a dynamic process of going forward.In this way,the triple-helix mode can improve the efficiency of collaborative innovation in terms of the organizational structures of these innovative entities.As one pole of this triple-helix system,the industry allows enterprises to meet their own needs of innovation production in time thanks to its agglomeration effect,and it can also gain superior technology with lower costs through this collaborative innovation system.However,there are discrepancies in industries 'investment of this triple-helix mode and in their contributions to the collaborative innovation.In such context,it is worthwhile to consider the different influence that different agglomeration effects,appeared by all industries in the same situation,haveon the collaborative innovation.Based on this new triple-helix mode,this dissertaion analyzes the impacts that the agglomeration effect of all the industries has on Chinese efficiency of multi-entity collaborative innovation and explores the effects of the industry-university-research entity has on the collaborative innovation on the path of industry agglomeration.To do this research,the thesis borrows Chinese panel data from 30 provinces from 2009 to 2018,uses the theory of collaborative innovation and the theory of industrial economy,and builds spatial error model and spatial Dubin model.In the study,the author find that there is evidently spatial agglomeration in terms of China ' s collaborative innovation,which means Chinese collaborative innovation is highly dependent on space.In China,the triple-helix mode of collaborative innovation is less intensive and is featured by spatial classification,which can be shown in the fact that East China is better than the West of China in terms of the triple-helix development.The factor analysis shows that regional economic growth and university development contribute a lot to the triple-helix mode.In addition,the scientific research and technological service as innovation agglomeration entities remarkably promote the collaborative innovation effects.The agglomeration of infrastructural industries,such as public transportation and public management and other innovative activities,allows the exchange costs to decline,accelerates the mobility of innovative resources,and can improve the efficiency of collaborative innovation to a certain degree.Moreover,industries like information transmission,software and IT service gradually show positive contributions to the process of collaborative innovation,and such contributions are conspicuous.This reflects the importance of newly emerging industries and of the update of industrial construction to the collaborative innovation.Finally,this dissertation puts forward some policy proposals related to the improvement of the triple-helix mode of collaborative innovation,the platform of collaborative innovation,a variety of ways of industrial management and the system of market competition,so as to enhance the efficiency of collaborative innovation within a region.
