In recent years,Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC)and the state council has called for vigorous development of China countryside and rural revitalization. Many rural residents have overcome poverty and achieve prosperity since the development of rural tourism. It is not only an effective way to help rural areas and farmers to get rid of poverty, but also an important method to respond to the call for rural revitalization strategy. There occurs to be a lot of horrendous negative news in the process of rural tourism development and most of them are due to the consequences of the unevenly shared by multi-stakeholders,which causes people start to think about how can we achieve a sustainable development of rural tourism? The final answer is to encourage local communities' participation.Since local residents have unique local feelings about their tourist destinations and the development of tourism has a profound impact on the resident's sense of place. It is quite worth to think deeply about the question of what is the role and influence of the formation which shaping the sense of residents? This study has selected the role of community participation in the resident's sense of place as the research theme, summarizing relevant literature about resident's sense of place and community participation in tourism.Chosen community resident as the research object, chosen Guizhou Langde Village as the study case in order to figure out how is resident's sense of place after participating in the tourism.First of all,the researcher conducted a systematic review of relevant research results including the detailed review of the theoretical sources of resident's sense of place, research hotspots, influencing factors, interactive researches on community participation and residents, interaction research between community participation in tourism and resident's sense of place in order to be the theoretical support of this study.Secondly, the author conducted a field work with Guizhou Langde Village as a research case,in-depth interviews and participatory observations of local residents, collecting research data and use the MAXQDA 10 software for qualitative analysis of the interview texts obtained,step-by-step coding referring Grounded Theory.Lastly, get the result of the characteristics of community participation in tourism performance, resident's sense of place and tourism benefit perceived after analyzing the data and obtain the conclusions of the article by sorting out the correlation between these three parts.Through qualitative analysis, the author found that the level of community participation in tourism is significantly different, which is represented by customary mechanical participation, passive acceptance participation, supportive participation, participation for material incentives, functional participation, interactive participation and self-mobilization participation in seven levels. The characteristics of resident's sense of place are basically embodied in two aspects:sense of place and place attachment.sense of place is performanced in the uniqueness of natural geography, social culture, economic system, folk customs.Place attachment is mainly divided into two levels:place identity and place dependence.Place identity is expressed as local identity, cultural identity and blood identity.Place dependence is expressed as housing belonging, living habits and life convenience. The resident's perception of tourism benefits mainly highlights the perceptions of economic, social and psychological benefits. After analyzed the internal relations of these three major performance characteristics,it is found that Community participation in tourism has a significant impact on the formation of resident's sense of place and generally presented by the U-shaped difference distribution.People can understand as residents who involuntary participation and equal empowerment participation show a stronger sense of local residents, meanwhile residents with interest-inducing participation show a weak sense of local residents. In the mean time, the community participation in tourism is affecting the resident's perception of tourism benefits, showing a high degree of positive correlation consistency in terms of economic abundance, social complementarity, and psychological satisfaction. The tourism benefit perception plays a mediate role between community participation and local sense of the residents. For positive or negative perception of tourism benefits,it enhances or weakens the resident's sense of place and affects the formation of resident's sense of place. As a result, the study proposes management inspiration from two aspects:improving the level of community participation and enhancing resident's perception of tourism benefits to enhance the community resident's sense of place and providing methodological guidance for further realizing the sustainable development of rural tourism. The differences in the level of community participation have an important impact on the formation of resident's sense of place. It not only provides a deeper and more refined theoretical basis for resident's sense of place, but also provides development practice ideas for tourism community managers, like considering resident's sense of place and how much participation space is required by community residents during the tourism development process. It is worth adopting. In addition, due to the participation in development models in different communities and the different roles of residents. This research has only discussed the formation mechanism of residents in community-guidance rural tourism destinations, which can only provide the theory and practice under other participation modes with certain reference value without adopted directly. In addition, due to the lack of the author's own ability, the current research is still limited to the shortcomings and still need to be improved in future research.
