Since the entry into WTO,China's economy and foreign trade have grown rapidly,and the scale of import and export has continued to grow,providing a good opportunity for the development of international settlement business of domestic commercial banks.Meanwhile,with the reform of the financial system,the entry of foreign banks,the development of online finance,and the increasing business demand of customers,the international settlement business of domestic commercial banks is also facing unprecedented pressures and challenges.Facing with the opportunities and challenges,domestic commercial banks have realized that they could win the market competition and customer loyalty to achieve a sustainable business development only by committing themselves to improving the original inefficient business processes and creating higher-quality processes,which are customer-centric and adapt to market development.Based on the above background,this thesis first reviews the development and research status of process optimization.Summarization of theories related to process optimization and international settlement business provides a theoretical basis for the present study,while analysis of the research status of process optimization in bank business and in international settlement business provides referential experiences for the current project.Subsequently,the CCB HZ Branch is selected as the research object and is detailed analyzed by introducing the basic situation,the current situation as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by HZ Branch international settlement business.On this basis,the potential room for improvement of HZ Branch's international settlement business is further elaborated.The process node table as well as flow chart are employed to decompose and analyze the existing processes of HZ Branch international settlement business in detail.In terms of low efficiency of the process and insufficient risk prevention capability,the problems in the international settlement business process are analyzed.The reasons for the above problems are further clarified from the aspects of customer-centered concept,human resource management,and organizational responsibility.Based on these analysis,the thesis puts forward the aim and principle of process optimization,suggests the overall optimization idea of creating"two centers,one channel and one platform" by using ESRIA method,and proposes the specific optimizing methods for HZ Branch international settlement business.Finally,considering the status of HZ Branch,a series of practical measures,such as optimizing organizational structure,improving human resource management,and establishing scientific marketing management system,are proposed.Guided by theory,this thesis investigates and analyzes the reasons affecting the development of the international settlement business of CCB HZ Branch through questionnaires and on-site interviews.Based on the recommendations of customers and employees,the ESRIA method is used to analyze and optimize the existing international settlement business processes.This thesis combines theory and practice,and strives to create an international settlement business process that adapts to the competitive environment,meets customer needs,and mobilizes employees' enthusiasm.It will solve the problems existing in the current business processes of HZ branch,realize customer-centric business processes and improve business processing efficiency and risk prevention capabilities,thereby improving the core competitiveness of HZ Branch's international settlement business and achieving sustainable business development.This thesis can provide reference for the improvement of international settlement business process at the secondary branch level of commercial banks.
