With the gradual recovery of the world economy,the increasing degree of trade facilitation,and the development of the globalized supply chain,has also made the economic ties between countries increasingly close,and import and export trade is becoming more and more critical for the economic growth of countries around the world.In September and October 2013,Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed cooperation initiatives to build the "New Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road",which will undoubtedly affect the economy and trade of China and the countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative".Development has had a long-term and profound impact.As far as the current reality is concerned,there are broad prospects for China's trade with countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative".It is better to find out how trade influencing factors restrict or promote the development of China's trade with countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative".It is of great significance to tap the potential of trade and increase the scale of trade.This article conducts research on the trade influencing factors and trade potential estimation between China and the countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative",and it is carried out in accordance with the steps of literature review,status quo analysis,theoretical mechanism analysis,and empirical research.First,this article summarizes the relevant literature on trade potential,trade influencing factors,and trade between China and the "Belt and Road Initiative"countries,and summarizes relevant research results.Taking this as a starting point,it summarizes the relevant concepts of this article,introduces how the gravity model is introduced into the trade field and its application evolution in the field of international trade,and attempts to explain the trade gravity model with comparative advantage theory.Secondly,based on the macroeconomic perspective,introduce the economic development characteristics,subregional resource endowment status of countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative",the status quo and realistic basis of trade development between China and the countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative",with HS two-digit code and HS four In the bit code classification,the main import and export commodities of China and the countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" are selected,and the structure of imported and exported commodities is analyzed separately,and there is a basic understanding of the areas where trade potential at the commodity level may exist.Third,based on the independent variables in the model,that is,influencing factors,indirectly find out the way in which the influencing factors affect the bilateral trade potential between China and the countries along the "Belt and Road";determine relevant indicators and analyze their mechanism of increasing trade potential.By expanding the establishment of the gravity model of trade,from an empirical perspective,verify the direction and relevance of the influencing factors on bilateral trade flows,and measure the trade potential between China and the countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative".Countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" have pointed out the direction of trade cooperation in different regions.Finally,China will play a leading role in the "Belt and Road Initiative" and elaborate on actively developing government cooperation,optimizing the trade structure of commodities,exporting transportation infrastructure capacity,building overseas parks and e-commerce platforms,and proposing countermeasures and suggestions for development.China's trade potential with countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" provides some references.
