Research On Regional Economic Cooperation Between China And The Bay Of Bengal Rim

Under the International background of economic globalization and regional economic integration,the evolution of regional economic cooperation and the strategic position of social and economic development are becoming more and more prominent as the hub of South Asia and Southeast Asia and the the Bay of Bengal Rim,which is one of the important corridors in the Indian Ocean.As early as the year in the Bay of Bengal Rim,the BIMSTEC was established,but its cooperation effect has not been obvious for a long time due to the restriction of many factors.In the context of the expanding membership of the Organization and the increasing coordination among its member States,in recent years it has finally appeared in the international perspective as a cooperative organization with regional influence.Although the Bay of Bengal Rim has abundant energy resources and good location of natural ports,but the Bay of Bengal Rim is mostly developing countries,the comprehensive strength of the country is insufficient,in the development of regional cooperation not only to develop the region's social economy,but also the strategic intention to prevent the intervention of extraterritorial countries,as an emerging regional economic Cooperation Organization,the development of economic cooperation between the Bay of Bengal Rim and China has good opportunities,but also faces a variety of challenges.Based on the analysis of the resource environment,economic and political geographical structure and security situation of cooperation between China and the Bay of Bengal Rim,this study analyzes the spatiotemporal evolution of regional economic cooperation between China and the Bay of Bengal Rim from the aspects of trade,investment,engineering contracting and labor cooperation.The effectiveness of regional economic cooperation between China and the Bay of Bengal Rim is evaluated,and the influencing factors of regional economic cooperation are analyzed.Then this paper probes into the opportunities of regional economic cooperation between China and the Bay of Bengal Rim under the background of "Belt and Road" and the expansion of its cooperation space,and the cooperation needs of countries in the Bay of Bengal Rim,then it analyzes the supply of China's regional economic cooperation in the Bay of Bengal Rim,and finally puts forward the strategy of China's participation in the regional economic cooperation Bay of Bengal Rim.Through the research,this paper finds that the economic and trade exchanges between China and the ASEAN countries in the Bay of Bengal Rim are closer after the establishment of the China-ASEAN free Trade Area.Although the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation has generally developed results in general,regional economic cooperation between China and SAARC countries in the Bay of Bengal Rim has made great strides in recent years,which provides a good precondition and basis for cooperation for China's participation in economic cooperation in the Bay of Bengal Rim of the ring.To strengthen regional economic cooperation between China and the Bay of Bengal Rim and to promote the economic integration process between China and the countries of the Bay of Bengal Rim,in line with the aims and objectives of China's "Belt and Road" initiative,and under the background of the "Belt and Road",China needs to actively participate in the regional economic cooperation in the Bay of Bengal Rim of they will create a "community of interests",a "development community" and a "community of destiny" for the countries of the Bay of Bengal Rim.
