Since the implementation of the new policy of reform and opening-up with market economy as the mainstay and planned economy as the supplement,China's economy has entered a transitional mode, and the phenomenon of market segmentation under the transitional economic mode has gradually moved into people's vision. At home, market segmentation is the product of the transformation of economic model, with specific characteristics of the times. In addition,in the international arena,China's economic strength has been increasing, its participation in international affairs has gradually increased, domestic export demand has been increasing, and the dependence of China's export enterprises on the international market has gradually increased, and its international competitiveness has been significantly improved. Therefore,it is more and more urgent to discuss the relevance of market segmentation to Chinese export enterprises. From the perspective of market segmentation, this paper studies the cost-plus rate of China's export enterprises, combs their research results and finds out the research direction of this paper by drawing lessons from previous research methods.Firstly, this paper explores three categories of literature: market segmentation, export enterprises and cost-plus rate, and summarizes them.It also analyses the influencing factors of market segmentation on costplus rate of Chinese export enterprises.Secondly, the theoretical mechanism of this paper is sorted out. Finally, this paper makes an empirical study on this issue by using the microlevel database of China's industrial enterprises and the export enterprise database of China Customs from 2001 to 2007,the micro-level database of China's export enterprises, and the market segmentation index calculated by the classification index of commodity retail prices of different provinces, municipalities directly under the Central Government and autonomous regions in the China Statistical Yearbook. It is found that the regression coefficients of enterprises of different scales are not very different, but the regression coefficients of cost addition rates of enterprises of different ownership systems and different regions are quite different.Specifically,as far as the overall sample is concerned, the cost-plus rate of export enterprises will decrease by 66.8567 per unit of market segmentation index, and this is the "net value" that the negative impact of market segmentation on the added rate of export enterprises exceeds the positive impact. On the other hand,as far as our sub-sample regression is concerned, for state-owned enterprises, the cost-plus rate of state-owned export enterprises decreases by 59.3643 for each unit of the market segmentation index rising. For private export enterprises, the cost-plus rate of private export enterprises decreases by 91.5381 for every unit of market segmentation index rising. The impact of market segmentation on foreign-funded Chinese exports is the weakest.Specifically, for every unit of market segmentation index rising, the cost-plus rate decreases by 36.5953.As far as the region where the enterprises are located is concerned, for the eastern enterprises, the cost-plus rate of the export enterprises decreases by 50.2432 for every unit of the market segmentation index rising. For the enterprises in the central and Western regions, the cost-plus rate of the export enterprises decreases by 241.3835 for every unit of the market segmentation rising. Finally, through the empirical results of this paper,we put forward corresponding suggestions. This paper hopes to reflect the impact of market segmentation on the microlevel of export enterprises by exploring the change of enterprise cost plus rate, and provide a new perspective for future research on export enterprises. Before this paper, many scholars have drawn the conclusion that the degree of market segmentation can promote the export of enterprises through empirical research. Some scholars have also found that export behavior has a strong positive impact on the cost-plus rate of export enterprises through empirical research. However, there is no literature on the study of market segmentation on the export enterprise plus rate.Of course, this paper also has some shortcomings, such as export destination of export enterprises and export enterprises affected by various export preferential policies.
