| China's economic level has risen rapidly,with GDP exceeding 80 trillion yuan in 2017,and the gap between the total economy and the United States has narrowed again.However,China ranks 28 th in the world in terms of competitiveness and 74 th in terms of technological efficiency.It is difficult to improve economic quality only by relying on extensive input of factors.Under the complex and severe economic environment at home and abroad,only by playing the role of innovation driving and structural transformation can we create new impetus for China's development.Innovation-driven development is the core keyword of the 2018 two sessions,and China will stick to the main direction of innovation-driven development in the future.At the same time,the main contradictions in Chinese society have changed,and it is imperative to accelerate the promotion of social factor allocation and industrial transformation and upgrading.It can provide an important basis for China to implement innovation strategy and industrial restructuring and upgrading of studying the internal relationship among innovation-driven,structural transformation and economic growth and clarifying the direction and degree of their interaction,besides,it can provide reasonable and scientific guidance for the formulation of national policies and help the government better tap the innovation and structural dividends.This paper constructs the research framework of innovation-driven,structural transformation and regional economic growth,and incorporates them into a framework for research and analysis,which considers innovation-driven from three perspectives: technological innovation,financial innovation and innovation environment.Meanwhile,it summarizes the mechanism of innovation-driven,structural transformation and regional economic growth.On the one hand,they have internal relations and interactions;on the other hand,structural transformation plays a mediating role in the process of innovation-driven economic growth.On the basis of theoretical analysis,using panel data of 28 provinces in eastern,central and western regions from 2003 to 2016,this paper analyses the long-term equilibrium relationship and the mediating effect of structural transformation between the three through PVAR model and mediating effect model,and makes a comparative analysis of the empirical results in eastern,central and western regions.The research in this paper finds that,on the one hand,innovation-driven,structural transformation and economic growth are interrelated,but regional characteristics are obvious.In terms of innovation-driven economic growth,technological innovation has a greater impact on economic growth in the eastern region,especially in the central and western regions where financial innovation and innovation environment promote economic growth.In addition,empirical studies in the eastern,central and western regions show that industrial upgrading can promote regional development.On the other hand,structural transformation plays a part of intermediary effect in the process of innovation-driven economic growth.It is more difficult for the eastern region to influence economic growth through the intermediary variable of industrial structure transformation,while the western region has played an obvious intermediary role in the process of technological innovation promoting economic level,and the transformation of industrial structure plays a significant intermediary role in the economic growth driven by financial innovation in the central region.Based on this conclusion,in the process of stabilizing growth,promoting reform and restructuring,China should adjust measures to local conditions,improve the system of technological innovation,perfect financial services,create a good environment for innovation,handle the relationship between industrial restructuring and stable economic growth,coordinate the development of innovation-driven and industrial restructuring,and achieve stable regional economic growth. |
