With the rapid development of informatization,it has become an important driving force to upgrade the level of technological innovation and promote the transformation of economic growth from material-driven to innovation-driven,which has a profound impact on the national economic development and social system reform. At present,China's economy is in a critical period of transformation and development.Seizing the historical opportunities of informatization development is an effective way to realize China's economic transformation, stable growth, and structural adjustment. This article focuses on the internal relationship among informatization, technological innovation and economic growth, trying to clarify the role and impact of informatization on economic growth.First, based on the concepts and theories related to informatization, technological innovation and economic growth, this paper constructs a theoretical framework in which informatization affects economic growth, and expounds the mechanism of informatization to promoting economic growth from both direct and indirect aspects. The direct impact is manifested by the continuous expansion of the information industry's own output value, which significantly promotes national economic growth. The indirect impact is reflected in the effect of technological innovation and diffusion brought by informatization on economic growth.Afterwards, this paper constructs an evaluation index system for informatization and technological innovation based on previous research. The coefficient of variation method and simple linear weighting method were used to estimate the informatization level and technological innovation capability of 30 regions in China from 2013 to 2017.Finally,this paper establishes a model containing informational elements based on the Cobb-Douglas production function and then with the intermediary effect analysis method, the direct effect of informatization on China's economic growth and the indirect effect of informatization on economic growth through technological innovation are empirically studied in conjunction.Aiming at the results of empirical analysis, some policy suggestions are proposed for the formulation of China's informatization construction and economic development strategy. The results indicate that:(1)China's informatization level and technological innovation capability have a similar development trend.During the period ofinvestigation, the two showed an upward trend year by year and there were serious regional differences.(2)Overall,informatization has a positive effect on economic growth. In terms of the direct effect of informatization on economic growth, the direct contribution of information industry output to China's economic growth has increased year by year, indicating that the information industry is gradually becoming the main industry of our national economy. The results of the analysis of intermediary effects show that informatization has a partial intermediary effect on economic growth through technological innovation, with a magnitude of 53.3%,which indicating that 53.3% of the impact of informatization on economic growth is achieved through technological innovation.(3)Compared with labor force factors and physical capital input factors, the contribution of informatization to economic growth is still negligible, which shows that China's economy is still in a material-driven mode that mainly relies on capital and labor input.
