Since the reform and opening up,China has achieved rapid economic growth at the expense of high input, high energy consumption and high emissions, but it has caused a lot of waste of resources and environmental pollution. As China's economy has entered a new normal and is faced with the grim situation of resource shortage and environmental degradation, the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly stated that it is necessary to implement the development of new concepts and speed up the reform of ecological civilization. Therefore,it is of great significance to seek new impetus for economic development and thus change the mode of economic growth in our country to improve the quality of China's economic growth and promote sustainable economic development. As the first of five major development concepts, innovation is the first impetus to development. Therefore, this paper first uses annual data of each province in China from 2000 to 2015,based on SBM directional distance function and Luenberger productivity index to measure the total factor productivity of China's provinces and regions, and then constructs the contribution rate of green total factor productivity growth rate to economic growth.Change of economic growth mode.Secondly,we use the spatial panel model to test the impact of innovation-driven on the transformation of economic growth mode. Finally,it is concluded that innovation-driven development as a new driving force for development can significantly promote the transformation of economic growth through the transformation of R&D results, but the utilization efficiency of R&D investment in our country is low and the conversion rate of innovation achievements needs to be improved.
