Study On Spatial Spillover Effect Of Regional Economic Development In Guizhou Province

The report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China points out that as socialism with Chinese characteristics enters a new era,the main contradictions in our society have been transformed into the contradictions between the people's growing need for a better life and the unbalanced and inadequate development.The driving role of developed areas to backward areas is an important means to achieve balanced regional development and narrow the gap of regional economic development.In regional economics,the study of spillover effect is helpful to better understand the mechanism of inter-regional economic interaction,so as to help achieve balanced development of regional economy.This paper introduces the current research status of regional economic spillover effect in academic circles at home and abroad,expounds the relevant theories and generating mechanism of spatial spillover effect,analyses the current situation of regional economic development in Guizhou Province from 2000 to 2017,and further selects a series of representative indicators based on the data of Guizhou Province from 2000 to 2017,and applies spatial econometric model to the regional economic development of Guizhou Province.The impact and spillover effect are empirically analyzed,and the conclusions are drawn based on the empirical results:(1)Generally,the regional economic development of Guizhou is positively spatial autocorrelation,and the economic growth of adjacent regions can drive the economic growth of this region;(2)the growth of labor force,government financial expenditure,industrial structure and fixed assets investment is positively correlated with the economic growth of this region,but labor force is positively correlated.The spillover effect of industrial structure on adjacent areas is significantly negative,the spillover effect of government financial expenditure and fixed assets investment is positive,and the spillover effect of human capital is negatively correlated with the regional economic level,but not significant.Finally,according to the conclusions drawn from the empirical analysis,from the five aspects of labor force,financial expenditure,fixed assets investment,industrial structure and human capital,in order to promote the healthy development of regional economy in Guizhou Province,strengthen the driving role of developed areas in the economic growth of backward areas in Guizhou Province,and achieve balanced regional economic growth,the relevant countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.
