After entering the 21 st century, international trade has been under the production system of international vertical specialization. The traditional customs-based statistical methods have failed to accurately reflect the trade gains of a country or region. The value-added trade statistics method based on the World Input-Output Tables can more clearly show the true trade advantages and disadvantages of a country, and it is recognized by more and more international organizations and countries(regions). This paper uses multi-regional input-output model(MRIO)and WIOD to trace the value of global final manufacturing products, thus measuring the value-added trade of various industries in China, restoring the real foreign trade situation in China, and focusing on the study of the industry difference in the value-added trade between China's service sector and the commodity sector from 2000-2014.The study found that China's value-added trade has increased significantly in terms of total volume.Since 2005,it has surpassed Germany to become the world's second. In 2012,it surpassed the United States and ranked first in the world. However, from the perspective of industrial structure distribution,China's value-added trade is mainly distributed in the commodity sector(accounting for 76.3%),and the service sector accounted for only 23.7%,significantly lower than the developed countries or regions such as Europe,America,Japan and South Korea. On this basis, this paper uses the indicators such as the Tyre index and the structural decomposition analysis(SDA)technology to analyze the industry differences and its causes of the value-added trade by different sectors in China, and it uses the convergence theory of neoclassical economics to analysis the department's value-added trade in China. The study found that:(1)The analysis of the Tyre index shows that the industry difference in the value-added trade of China's service sector is significantly higher than that of the commodity sector, and it shows a trend of increasing. This difference is mainly caused by differences within the department(More than 80%).(2)Based on the SDA,“country structure effect” and“scale effect” contribute more to the value-added trade in the commodity sector thanin the service sector, but the “initial input effect” and “structural effect” increase more in the service sector after 2008,the contribution of the value is more significant.(3)Convergence test found that both the commodity sector and the service sector have?-absolute convergence and ?-conditional convergence, indicating that both sectors have the phenomenon that the weak players catch up with the strong, and eventually approach the same steady-state level; But because of the difference between endowments, commodity departments and service departments eventually tend to different steady-state levels, and there is also a certain departmental difference in convergence speed. The convergence rate of the commodity sector is greater than that of the service sector, and the convergence rate of the low-skilled sector is greater than that of the high-skilled sector. Finally, the paper draws conclusions based on measurement and empirical analysis and proposes targeted policy recommendations.
