A Study On Paths Of Internet Convergence Driving Manufacturing Transformation And Upgrading

China's economy has entered into the new normal.And the leading role of the industry to the economy has become obviously weakened.In particular,the China's manufacturing industry is faced with the important transformation and upgrading.Internet is accelerating the convergence with all fields of the economics.In this background,it's crucial for both theory and application value to study on the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry in China and find the optimal path for the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry which drives the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.This will help manufacturing industry clarify how to drive the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry by the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry,and also provide references for policy recommendations.Based on a large number of documents and data collection,this thesis analyzes that how the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry drives the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry with the theory of industrial convergence and industrial transformation and upgrading,and puts forward path hypotheses.This thesis then uses the structural equation model to make an empirical test of all the hypotheses of paths.And it finally reveals paths of the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry driving the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry which is of great significance to achieve the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.Firstly,based on the theory of industrial convergence and industrial transformation and upgrading,this thesis analyzes that the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry drives the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry mainly by technological innovation,organizational change,and factor structure optimization,and puts forward path hypotheses.Secondly,this thesis measures the degree of the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry by using Internet and manufacturing data from 2000 to 2014 in China.And it is concluded that the degree of the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry is still at a low level no matter in whole manufacturing industry or segmentation,and there is significant difference among segments of manufacturing industry.Finally,this thesis uses the structural equation model to make an empirical test of all the path hypotheses with the panel data of manufacturing industry.And it finds out that technological innovation is the most critical factor during the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry driving the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.The next one is factor structure optimization.Although the organizational change cannot directly affect the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry driving the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry,it can affect the transformation and upgrading through its interaction with technological innovation and factor structure optimization.Therefore,based on results of theoretical analysis and empirical test,this thesis proposes the following recommendations: Strengthen the convergence depth of Internet and manufacturing industry in order to seize the driving force of the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.Emphasize importance of technological innovation during the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry driving the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.Build an effective competitive organizational structure so that reshape the role of the organizational change in the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry driving the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.Cultivate applied and multi-disciplinary talents.Establish and improve the Internet-related laws and regulations.Establish statistical supervision systems for the convergence of Internet and manufacturing industry.
