Research On The Impact Of Producer Services Imports On The Transformation And Upgrading Of Manufacturing Industry In China

Manufacturing is the source of modern civilization,and has important strategic significance for a country’s economic development.In the government work report of 2018,Premier Li Keqiang proposed that we should continue to speed up the construction of the manufacturing power,promote the development of high technology industry,implement the major short board equipment project,develop the industrial Internet platform,carry out the overall quality promotion action,upheld the "quality first",but "benefit take precedence"priority principle,and carry out quality revolution made in China.At the same time,the tide of"re industrialization"and"return of manufacturing"in developed countries swept the world,the process of industrialization in developing countries accelerated,and the international competition situation of manufacturing industry became increasingly fierce.As a high-end intermediate input factor,the productive service industry is an important driving force for the development of manufacturing industry.Its development degree directly affects the innovation,efficiency and quality of the manufacturing industry.Against this backdrop,it is of great practical significance to study the impact of productive services import on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.Under the strategic guidance of constructing a powerful manufacturing country,the import and export trade of manufacturing and productive services has been developing rapidly.In 2017,the industrial added value was 27.99 trillion yuan,with year-on-year growth of 6.4 percent,of which the value-added growth for the high-tech manufacturing industry was 3.56 trillion yuan,with 13.4 percent against the previous year,and the realized profit of industrial enterprises is 7.52 trillion yuan,with year-on-year growth of 21.0 percent.However,China’s manufacturing industry is still facing the problems of the disappearance of the demographic dividend,the low value-added of the products,the pronounced problem of overcapacity,the lack of independent intellectual property rights in key technologies and the core areas,and the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry has a long way to go.In addition,China’s import of productive services trade imports account for a low proportion of the import of service trade,less than 50%of the total import of service trade,and the import share of the traditional service industry is significant,the proportion of the new service industry is small and the trade structure is unreasonable.Problems such as insufficient supply of productive services further increase the difficulty of transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.In view of this,this paper applies qualitative and quantitative research methods to study the impact of productive services import on manufacturing upgrading.First,based on the theory of industrial association and the theory of global value chain,this paper analyzes the influence mechanism of productive service import on the upgrading of manufacturing industry.Secondly,through the analysis of the present situation of the development of the transformation and upgrading of our productive service import and manufacturing industry,the problems both existed in the process of development are found out.Thirdly,the VAR model and multiple regression model are used to find out the actual problems in the process of development.The specific impact of the import of productive services on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry is studied.Finally,based on the empirical results,some suggestions are put forward to improve the import of productive services,improve the import structure,strengthen the manufacturing industry and the relevance of the productive service industry,and provide reference for the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in China.
