There is a great demand for various types of transportation products in countries along the Belt and Road initiative.Trade relations among these countries can be regarded as a complex network.By using complex network theory,we can observe the structure of supply & demand and the status and role of each country in trade networks.This paper firstly constructed the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative transportation products trade networks from 2006 to 2015 and analyzed the characteristics of the networks including network density,network aggregation,nodes degree distribution,nodes strength distribution and network community.Then this paper defines the node competitiveness evaluation indicators and compares the competitiveness of the core countries under each indicator,including the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative transportation products trade networks(interregional trade networks),foreign trade countries and the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative transportation products trade networks(extraterritorial trade networks).This paper also builds extraterritorial trade networks that include extraterritorial countries,and compare the competitiveness of these countries and China in the extraterritorial trade networks.Finally,this paper predicts the competitiveness of China in the trade networks by using the grey Markov forecast model.The trade relation among countries in the trade networks has become increasingly closer.Countries have strived to increase their competitiveness in networks by increasing the number of trading partners and increasing foreign trade volume.The competition among the countries in the network has become increasingly fierce,but the main trading partners of various countries are still concentrated in the periphery countries.The trade network has a high degree of trade concentration,and large trade countries still have a high trade monopoly power within a short period of time.For the trade network constructed in this paper,node strength centrality can reflect a country's competitiveness in the trade network better.In the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative area,China has strong competitiveness,especially in export trade.Germany has the strongest competitiveness in extraterritorial trade networks,and China's export competitiveness has dropped significantly,trade competitive advantage weakened significantly.In the next two years,China's competitiveness in the original trade network and extraterritorial trade networks will increase.China's competitiveness increase in the original trade networks is mainly due to exports,and the trade competitive advantage of China increased.However,China's competitiveness increase in the extraterritorial trade networks mainly depends on import,and the trade competitive advantage of China dropped.This paper which uses complex network theory to analysis the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative transportation products trade market,is helpful to grasp the rules of the market characteristics,understand the dynamic development of the China-proposed Belt and the Road Initiative transportation products trade and forecast trade development trend.Thus it can provide some scientific basis for the country to formulate relevant trade policy.
