Analysis Of Correlation Between Scientific Cooperation And Academic Influence

As early as the 1880 s,scientific research cooperation was prevalent in Europe.Today,when "win-win cooperation" and "Shared culture" are so prevalent,it is not surprising to see extensive scientific research cooperation.Especially in the era of global integration,in the new situation of scientific development,scientific cooperation,especially international scientific cooperation,has become the main way to develop big science and solve the problem of globalization,which has increasingly attracted the attention of scientists,science and technology policy makers and science and technology managers.At present,the research on scientific cooperation mainly focuses on the quantitative research of cooperative network,and the detailed analysis of cooperative objects and types is rare.Therefore,this paper takes the research on scientometrics of this major as an example,and is committed to identifying the characteristics of the cooperation between domestic institutions and the differences with the other two developed areas of scientometrics research,so as to better improve the academic influence of scientometrics institutions in China.In order to identify the institutions that are most conducive to enhancing the academic influence of scientometrics research institutions in China,this paper conducts the following research: firstly,the institutions that have published more than 10 papers in scientometrics related journals and fields from 1998 to 2017 are defined as scientometrics research institutions.Secondly,the research objects are papers published by scientometrics research institutions in China,the United States and Europe.The types of cooperation were divided into non-cooperation,domestic cooperation and international cooperation for attribute analysis and quantitative analysis respectively,and the cooperation objects were visualized by combining the knowledge map method in social network analysis.Different levels of cooperation were constructed to carry out comparative analysis and research on the cooperation objects and types of different regional institutions.Finally,multiple regression analysis is used to find out the correlation between cooperative objects,types and academic influence of institutions.The results show that Chinese regional institutions prefer to cooperate with a wide range of institutions,but the ability to obtain citations through cooperation with top institutions is weaker than that of European and American regional institutions.Improving the proportion of articles published in international cooperation is most conducive to improving the academic influence of institutions.
