The depression of the maritime industry is going down in recent years,which leads to serious shrinking order volumes in lots of related manufacturers,and the further squeezed profit margin drives more and more related bosses and managers began to carefully consider the attempt of implementing lean in their organizations.However,only less than 10% of factories get the lean achievement that is widely accepted by others.Lots of factory managers have the incentives,but they are quite confusion in how to do it exactly,only some obscure concepts that guides limited activities.In fact,2 crucial questions should be considered before attempt of lean implementation,including-1)what is the principle that guides people take action? 2)How to avoid continuously producing in big batch-sizing and turn to lean,no matter being a top-manager,a first-line operator,vendor or customer?The thesis takes a Chinese factory in K group in maritime as the researching case.Based on the environment of multi-type and small batch-sizing,it interprets from 5 main parts,including layout optimization,lean assembly(in which flexible flow line included)production mode establishment,lean machining production mode establishment,office operation optimization and lean management transforming,for describing how to implement lean in such an organization.Moreover,it summarizes a lean implementation road map,which would be suitable for all similar types of manufacturer,who are in the stage of lean attempting,and it brings managers a reference in both what and how to do.
