| With the advancement of economic globalization and the continuous development of the tertiary industry,service trade has rapidly risen in the foreign trade system and gradually become an important driving force for a country’s economic development.Since its accession to the WTO in 2001,China’s trade in services has grown rapidly,from a total of 71.9 billion us dollars in 2001 to nearly 800 billion us dollars in 2018.China’s trade in services has risen to the second largest in the world.Studying the international competitiveness of China’s service trade and clarifying its influencing factors will be the key for China to stand out on the world economic stage.This paper focuses on the factors influencing the international competitiveness of China’s service trade,which are mainly divided into six chapters:The first chapter elaborates the research background and significance,introduces the article ideas,and summarizes the domestic and foreign literature.The second chapter is the theoretical research of service trade competitiveness.Starting from the concept of service itself,this paper expounds three theories of service trade competitiveness:comparative advantage theory,factor endowment theory and national competitive advantage theory.The third chapter introduces the present situation and trade structure of China’s service industry and points out the existing problems in service trade.In chapter four,the service trade competitiveness of China and other major trading countries is assessed by the international market share index(MS),the dominant comparative advantage index(RCA)and the trade competitiveness index(TC).Fifth chapter through the framework of national competitive advantage theory,from the diamond model of production elements,demand conditions,related and supporting industries,enterprise strategy and organizational structure four aspects to obtain,selection of the third industry employment proportion,GDP per capita,trade in goods exports and service level as explanatory variables,using fixed effect model based on the 2008-2017 panel data of the selected variables for modeling,and study the effect of variable degree.Finally,according to the results of empirical analysis and combined with the current situation of China’s service trade,the paper puts forward the following Suggestions on how to improve China’s service trade competitiveness:cultivate and enhance human capital;Optimizing the structure of trade in services and enhancing competitiveness;Promoting trade in services through trade in goods;We will open wider to expand external demand. |
