The Analysis Of Our Country's International Competitiveness Of Trade In Service

Along with the great development of service industry in the world, the proportion of trade in service in the global trade is rising continuously, and has been an important part of global economic development. With the trend that global trade in service is developing swiftly, the trade in service levels of developing countries are rising constantly, but the developed countries are dominating the lead status, the developing countries have to face the fierce competition. With the status, the developing countries which intend to get greater development on trade in service, must explore the potential of themselves and change the potential into competitiveness. Our country is facing the same question, after we attended the WTO, our country's trade in service developed swiftly, but at the same time we also faced the fierce competition from excellent overseas service companies. This article base on the development status of our country's trade in service recent years,collect and research plenty of relevant data of service home and abroad, from two side ---- theoretical and empirical point to analysis the level of international competitiveness of our country's service scientifically, strive to have a clear sense of development level of our country's trade in service, have a more accurate grasp of the future development direction and strategy of trade in service, thereby to give a valuable reference to the question that how to enhance the international competitiveness of our country's trade in service.The basic research clue of this article is:At first, clarify the research background and the practical significance of this article, and then illustrate the relevant research status. By reference to domestic and foreign scholars'theoretical and empirical research on the competitiveness of trade in services, I have a certain understanding of the basic elements which affecting the international competitiveness of trade in services. The majority of scholars make the comparative advantage theory as a starting point for the international competitiveness of trade in services research, in which the competitiveness model of Michael E·Porter can explain and summary the pattern of trade in services more comprehensively and systematically, but also have a certain forward-looking and predictability for the future development of a country's trade in services, so it could adapt to the development requirements of international trade in services better ,the theory also provides the basis for empirical discussion below. In addition, most domestic scholars based on the reality that China's service start off later, the views proposed by them have more practical reference value to enhance the competitiveness of China's trade in service.Second, as the academic community has not a single, authoritative definition of the concept----international trade in services, so in the beginning of this article's second part, I've summarized and concluded of the different definitions of the international trade in services and the competitiveness from different organs. Then describes the status of the development of global trade in services---- The structure of international trade in services continue to optimize, the proportion of technology, information, knowledge-intensive service sector is growing; the status of developing countries has increased, but still dominated by developed countries, etc. And then analysis the main factors that influence the international competitiveness of trade in service, in which the six factors from Michael E·Porter's"Diamond Model"are main factors.In the third part of this article, mainly through the evaluation index system of international competitiveness of trade in services and the collected relevant data, to analyze the situation of China's competitiveness in international trade in services. Through the relevant data analysis we can see that although China's total trade in services is growing in recent years, but it is in the state of long-term deficit, that is China's export competitiveness is also very weak. From the total trade in services accounted for the proportion of total trade, can be seen our country's trade in service is still below the average level of developed countries. In addition, our country's trade in service structure is irrational, the competitiveness of resources & labor-intensive sector is relatively strong, and the competitiveness of capital & technology-intensive sector is weak, this state do not meet the mainstream of development of trade in services .At the forth part of this article , establish a multivariable linear regression model, to research the main factors that impact our country's international competitiveness of trade in service empirically. The export of trade in services is a dependent variable in the model, select seven elements ----the trade in service exports, exports of goods, FDI in the service industry, government service sector capital investment, the Government's scientific research, capital investment, income level and the degree of openness of trade in services---- as the independent variables of the model. From the empirical results of the analysis , remove unreasonable factors, the various factors on the impact of trade in services exports, in decreasing respectively is income level, the degree of openness of trade in services, trade in goods exports, the Government's capital investment on R&D.At last, according to conclusion of the preceding analysis and study, put forward some countermeasures of the development of China's trade in service, with a view to enhancing international competitiveness of our trade in services. Our country's services sector should accelerate the pace of innovation and increase the level of opening up, let the development of trade in goods drive the development of trade in services , at the same time the government should give full play the role on promoting China's trade in service. Only in these ways, our country's trade in service will have made great progress, the international competitiveness will increase as well.The innovations of this article is: base on the"Diamond model"to analyze China's international trade competitiveness, and select variables which can be quantified to represent the various factors for the model, establish econometric models to analyze. However, due to capacity of my is limited, for a thorough analysis of the problem is not enough, the use of the model is insufficiently mature, so many places still need to improve, that needs to enhance in further in future research.
