At present,China’s agricultural production faces two contradictory and parallel goals of increasing grain production and environmental protection. The main body of grain production is the majority of farmers. The current fertilization behaviors of farmers have problems such as unreasonable fertilization structure, large amount of fertilizer application, and low efficiency of fertilizer utilization.Excessive fertilization by farmers will increase their costs in the short run.In the long run, excessive fertilization will threaten soil, water and food security.Farmers do not need to be responsible for environmental pollution, and the random nature of excessive fertilization makes management difficult. Therefore, finding ways to encourage farmers to reduce fertilization is beneficial to environmental protection and social development, and thus promote the sustainable development of agriculture. The research in this paper is based on farmer behavior theory, externality theory and sustainable development theory, combined with literature research, design questionnaire, and conducted on-the-spot investigation on the food planting situation and family basic situation of 271 households in Mengjin County,Henan Province in 2018.Combining factor analysis and multiple linear regression analysis,an empirical analysis was carried out on the amount of chemical fertilizer applied by farmers. The results of the study are as follows:the educational level of the farmers, whether they are party members or village cadres, the number of plots, whether they are engaged in aquaculture, whether to apply farmyard manure or organic fertilizer, whether they know the brand of fertilizer used, whether to participate in agricultural technology training activities or lectures,Whether to understand the slow release fertilizer, whether to understand the soil testing and formula fertilization, the understanding of agricultural non-point source pollution, the perception of the surrounding environment and other factors have a negative impact on the amount of fertilizer applied by farmers;whether the terrain, cultivated land can be irrigated, the main fertilization method The influence of other factors on the amount of fertilizer applied by farmers is positive. In order to further analyze the fertilization behavior of farmers, based on the factor analysis, the binary logistic regression model was used to analyze the relationship between the willingness of farmers to reduce fertilization and the 20 variables that affect farmers’ behavior. The results showed that the degree of education of farmers was Is it a party member or a village cadre, the number of family farmers, the annual income of the family, the proportion of non-agricultural income, the area of cultivated land, whether to understand the brand of fertilizer used, and whether they have participated in agricultural technology training activities or lectures, etc. Will has a positive impact. Finally,in order to guide farmers to reduce fertilization, some targeted suggestions were put forward. We should vigorously support the development of agricultural technology training activities and agricultural technology promotion undertakings;work together to improve the cultural level of farmers by combining multiple departments;vigorously promote the popularization and promotion of soil testing and fertilization and slow release fertilizers, improve fertilization efficiency, reduce fertilization losses, and promote Sustainable development of agriculture;paying attention to the cultivation of farmers’ environmental awareness, and letting farmers understand the negative externalities caused by excessive fertilization on the environment, and raise awareness of the non-point source pollution of farmers; And other means to regulate the fertilization behavior of farmers. |
