Industrial organization theory is an important theory about the organization,behavior and structure of an industry.Because it adapts to the need of combining economic theory with mathematical model,it is widely used.Industrial concentration is of great significance as an index to measure industrial market structure.Industrial concentration is an inevitable choice to improve industrial international competitiveness and realize industrial modernization.In this paper,the theory of industrial organization is introduced into the study of travel agency market,and the absolute concentration formula is used to calculate the industrial concentration of China's travel agency industry from 2007 to 2016.According to the results of the calculation,it can be seen that the market structure of China's travel agency industry in the ten years from 2007 to 2016 belongs to the atomic type,and the development process of travel agency industry in this period is divided into stable development and rapid decline.With three stages of structural adjustment,the evolution characteristics of industrial concentration in different stages are summarized.Based on the review and summary of the research results on the industrial concentration degree of travel agencies in China from 1980 to 2006,this paper reveals the development process of the travel agency industry under the new market environment after the reform of the economic system in China.On this basis,starting from the evolution results and the dynamic mechanism,and combining with the actual situation of the evolution of the industrial concentration degree of travel agencies in 2007-2016,the evolution results of the industrial concentration degree in the past ten years are presented.Comparing with the forecasting and comparison of the industry concentration degree of travel agency in the previous studies,the following conclusions can be drawn: from the result of the evolution of industry concentration degree,whether it is the forecasting of the development of industry concentration degree of travel agency in the previous stage or the actual calculation of industry concentration degree of travel agency in our country in the last ten years,both of them show a downward trend in the result,but From the analysis of the main motive mechanism leading to its downturn,there is a certain difference.The decline of industrial concentration in the former prediction is mainly due to the reform of economic system and the competition of foreign travel enterprises for market share,while the decline in industrial concentration in the latter calculation is due to technological change,diversified forms of industrial organization and large scale.Changes in consumer demand and consumer choice.Finally,the paper uses the method of multiple regression analysis to study the factors affecting the evolution of industrial concentration.The results show that economic scale,enterprise expansion capacity and labor productivity are positively correlated with the industrial concentration of travel agency industry,while the growth rate of enterprise entry rate and market capacity is negatively correlated with the industrial concentration of travel agency industry.On this basis,we further conclude the factors that promote industrial concentration: scale economy effect,enterprise expansion capacity and labor productivity,and the factors that hinder industrial concentration: market capacity expansion,low barriers to entry and high barriers to exit.Based on the results of previous studies on the evolution of industrial concentration degree of travel agencies from 1980 to 2006,and combined with the calculation results of industrial concentration degree of China's travel agencies from2007 to 2016,this paper predicts that the industrial concentration degree of China's travel agencies will continue its trend of decentralization in the next five to ten years,but will experience the learning of new business model,business model and marketing model and the merger between enterprises.After restructuring,the concentration of travel agency industry will be increased.In view of the existing problems in China's travel agency industry,such as low industrial concentration and weak international competitiveness,and the demand for leading enterprises in the industry under the background of increasingly fierce international competition,the following three countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to promote the upgrading of industrial concentration,namely,the government should standardize service behavior and raise barriers to entry;the industry should improve the salary system and build up a sound compensation system.Establish a training system;on the enterprise side,develop diversification and improve enterprise performance.
