Business outlets which are directly connected with customers,are the grass-roots operation institutions of banks,provide terminals of banking business service,also the creation units of profit objectives of banks.Facing the increasingly fierce market competition and the environment of external supervision,commercial banks' business outlets not only need to strive to improve their management level and business skills,but also need to establish advanced and appropriate performance appraisal management system to effectively monitor the work effection of employees and enhance their comprehensive competitiveness.Balanced Scorecard is a performance evaluation system with strategic development as its vision from finance,customers,internal processes and learning and innovative thinking four levels.It can not only help managers to inspect the performance of banks' outlets comprehensively,but also avoid the shortcomings of traditional performance evaluation schemes.The introduction of Balanced Scorecard into the performance evaluation system of commercial banks can better optimize bank performance management,also promote the development of bank outlets.This paper chooses A outlet of S Bank as a case study,fistly analyses the operating characteristics and current performance management of the outlet bank.It finds out that there are some unfavorable phenomena in the current performance management process,such as lack of a unified index evaluation system,over-emphasis on marketing,impractical setting of some performance evaluation indicators,improper application of the results of the performance evaluation of the outlet,and so on.Secondly,based on the analysis of the specific causes of the phenomenon,this paper explores the necessity and feasibility of the Balanced Scorecard for the performance management of A-point banks.Finally,using the principle of balanced scorecard,according to the specific SWOT analysis of the network,a set of performance management index system suitable for the current situation of the network and specific implementation safeguards are proposed to enhance the overall strength of the network.
