The wood processing industry in China has always been a labor-intensive industry, and it also relies on labor input and capital investment to achieve economic growth. However,China's demographic dividend is gradually disappearing, and capital investment is also faced with many realistic constraints. If the dynamic mechanism of economic growth of the wood processing industry is not changed, the future economic growth will be weak.At the same time, industrial agglomeration of the wood processing industry has been formed in some provinces, and the economic growth of the wood processing industry may also interact in the spatial extent. This effect is also known as the spatial spillover effect.Based on this, this paper takes the economic growth of wood processing industry as the research object, and discusses the influence mechanism of industrial agglomeration and other dynamic factors on the economic growth of wood processing industry through theoretical research and empirical research, and measures the spatial spillover effect. On this basis, summarize the spatial spillover effects of various influencing factors on the economic growth of the wood processing industry, and propose reasonable countermeasures for promoting the economic growth of the wood processing industry. This paper first systematically uses spatial autocorrelation analysis to verify the spatial spillover effect of economic growth of wood processing industry;secondly, this paper not only uses the ordinary panel measurement model to study the impact mechanism of industrial concentration of wood processing industry on economic growth, and also uses spatial panel measurement model to measure the spatial spillover effect of industrial agglomeration on the economic gro,wth of wood processing industry;finally,in order to further study the spatial and temporal heterogeneity of the economic growth of the wood processing industry, through time-space sub-sample analysis, this paper measures and analyzes the spatial spillover effect of industrial agglomeration on the economic growth of wood processing industry. The empirical results show that it is necessary to consider the spatial factors to study the impact mechanism of industrial agglomeration of wood processing industry on economic growth, otherwise it will overestimate the promoting effect of industrial agglomeration on economic growth. From the development of timber processing industry in China's 25 provinces in 2007-2016,industrial agglomeration, forestry industry upgrading, technological innovation, forest stocks, fiscal investment, human capital level and provincial economic development level for the wood processing industry economy have a positive spatial spillover effect in growth, and the regulatory effect of technological innovation on the upgrading of forestry industry and the number of employees in the wood processing industry at the end of the year have a negative spatial spillover effect on the economic growth of the wood processing industry. In terms of regions, forestry industry upgrading and technological innovation have a positive effect on the economic growth of wood processing industry in the eastern and central regions, and technological innovation will negatively regulate the upgrading of forestry industry, but the opposite is true for the western region;human capital level has a positive spillover effect on the economic growth of the wood processing industry in the eastern region, and the number of employees in the wood processing industry at the end of the year has a more significant effect on the development of the wood processing industry in the central and western regions. In terms of time, the number of employees in the wood processing industry at the end of the year will promote the economic growth of the wood processing industry in 2007-2011,and the level of human capital will promote the economic growth of the wood processing industry in 2012-2016.Based on the above empirical results, this paper suggests that the government should accelerate the formation of a balanced and orderly timber industry industrial agglomeration pattern and promote the sustained and stable economic growth of the wood processing industry.
