With the implementation of the reform and opening up policy,China has attracted a large number of investments from the United States,Japan and the "Four Little Dragons" and has gradually become East Asia, relying on comprehensive development advantages such as abundant and cheap labor, huge market space and strong government support policies.Processing and manufacturing centers and export centers in the Asia Pacific region.China's participation has transformed the Asia-Pacific value chain from a linear type to a network type, and the basic structure of the network-based Asia-Pacific value chain has been formed and continues to this day.As an underdeveloped economy,China initially can only take over labor-intensive business due to its lack of technology. It is responsible for product processing, that is,embedded in the Asia-Pacific value chain through processing trade, but it has gradually become a major player in the Asia-Pacific value chain.Participating in Asia-Pacific value chain cooperation is an important path for China to participate in economic and trade cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. Therefore,it is of great significance to study the factors influencing China's participation in Asia-Pacific value chain cooperation.Geographic distance is one of the most intuitive factors in the development of Asia-Pacific value chain cooperation.Based on this, this paper will focus on the perspective of the impact of geographical distance on China's participation in Asia-Pacific value chain cooperation.Geographic distance to a more comprehensive research to the influence of the value chain of China's participation in the Asia-Pacific cooperation mechanism, respectively from the perspective of value chain cooperation degree Angle, the length of the value chain, with the help of the world bank's development index database(WDI),France(CEPII)which provide the basis of the data, the empirical examines the geographic distance factors how to affect China's participation in the Asia-Pacific cooperation value chain. The findings are as follows :(1)Based on the degree of value chain cooperation, geographical distance promotes the overall value chain cooperation, especially has a more significant impact on backward cooperation; In addition,China's total output and WTO member countries are also positively correlated with the overall value chain cooperation.(2)From the perspective of value chain length, geographical distance has a significant negative correlation with the total value chain length, which especially inhibits the value chain length of primary industry and manufacturing industry, but significantly promotes the value chain length of service industry. In addition, the total output scale of China and other countries also significantly promotes the total value chain length. In this paper, the distance data of weighted distance are used for benchmark analysis, and the distance data between capitals are used for robustness test to verify the robustness of the conclusion of this paper.
