In recent years,transformation and upgrading have always been the theme of Chinese economic restructuring,structural adjustment,and development.It is a major practice in Chinese management field and the most important corporate behavior in emerging economies.The popular term"transformation and upgrading"frequently appears in newspapers and magazines and government official documents.Many outstanding Chinese companies have innovated rich transformation and upgrading practices,actively participated in global competition and enhanced their competitiveness.In order to implement transformation and upgrading,enterprises must first understand the corresponding policies of the country,the international and domestic market environment,industry dynamics and the situation of competitors in the same industry.Then,according to their own characteristics,determine the direction of transformation and upgrading,and formulate enterprise transformation and upgrading plans,in the process of transformation and upgrading.Keep an eye on the dynamics of all parties and adjust the plan in time to ensure the smooth implementation of the transformation and upgrading.The collection of such information is inseparable from the application of competitive intelligence.Through literature research,questionnaire survey and case analysis,this paper studies and analyzes the application status of competitive intelligence in the process of transformation and upgrading of Company A,and finds that there are many problems in the application of competitive intelligence:In theory,the research on competitive intelligence of domestic and foreign enterprises mainly focuses on the aspects of competitive intelligence gathering channels,knowledge management,anti-competitive intelligence and competitive intelligence system construction,and rarely involves practical problems such as the application of competitive intelligence in the process of transformation and upgrading.Little is concerned with the practical problems of the application of competitive intelligence in the transformation and upgrading process of enterprises.In practice,business managers tend to pay more attention to aspects such as product development and sales that can see benefits in a short period of time,and pay less attention to competitive intelligence work.At the same time,enterprise managers do not know much about competitive intelligence.They mainly rely on their own interpersonal contacts or through market research to collect competitive intelligence.The intelligence gathering channels are relatively simple,and the collected information is mostly scattered and messy.It can not be directly used for management decisions of enterprise.Company A does not have a special competitive intelligence department or position,and there is no special competitive intelligence staff.It is impossible to professionally organize,analyze and judge the collected intelligence information.The quality of competitive intelligence is generally low.This has little effect on the development of the enterprise,and may even lead to significant losses caused by the wrong information.After that,this paper made the following suggestions with theory and practice to how A company uses competitive intelligence to make decision-making and management in the process of transformation and upgrading,enhances comprehensive competitive strength,survives in a harsh economic environment and can stand out among many enterprises.Enterprise management personnel should increase their emphasis on competitive intelligence,introduce professional competitive intelligence talents,expand their network of personal relationships,and improve their competitive intelligence capabilities through multiple channels.In addition,government departments should also strengthen support for corporate competitive intelligence work,build a corporate competitive intelligence platform from the national level,and provide enterprises with timely and comprehensive international and domestic new policies,market dynamics and other competitive intelligence information.Professional institutions such as intelligence and information agencies should also increase investment in competitive intelligence work in enterprise transformation and upgrading,and provide high-quality competitive intelligence products and services for enterprises.I hope that through the research of this article,I can provide some reference for companies that are in the stage of transformation and upgrading.
